This film isn't a highly rated lgbti film by critics but something about the bgm, songs and the actresses really got me involved emotionally. Also having the main character of the film as a secondary character in the story made it very powerful. I sometimes shed tears listening to this music but its not tears of pure sadness but tears of joy for tragic characters who never got the love they wanted as mortal but might one day as spirits.
yes i know what you mean, the ending was sad, the characters were tragic but the story was beautiful becaues the said characters in there would have done exactly the same thing if they got to re-run the story again. Not just the ending theme but the soundtrack had this mesmerizing effect on me and despite the sad narrative, i felt happy for the characters in that they lived laughed and died for what they belived in and for who they loved. Also the ending was very poetic in that everyone looked at the eagle instead of the girl falling to her death and that signified the inner goodness of each person who wants to see lovers be freed in that in a mortal one is a slave but as a spirt, one could be free to fly to love.
I would change the ending. Love is also strong and terrible, but it does not require victims or martyrs. Everyone suffered, but no one should die. Paulie could move on, leave school and forget about a selfish yet busty girl
