I got a 19 in essay in my preboard and i assure you descriptive essay accompanied with similies is a very good combination, it both gives an order of feelings that is practically acknowledged by the examiner in terms of senses . Best of luck

The teacher must be too lenient
My teachers don't give more than 16, your teachers must be really lenient for them to give 19 or 19.5
Acc to my tution teacher who also a board copy checker told me most marks a examiner can give is 15 to 16
If too good then the Head Examiner can at most give 18 marks and not more than that......This is because giving 19 to 20 marks that u have written so perfectly that examiner can neither put a red dot on your paper ..This can put examiner and candidate in some trouble thats why most marks u can score is 17 to 18

For- against essays may have a bit from both sides because nothing is black and white. It is necessary to have a balanced opinion on things , with an inclination towards any side . I have done that and always got decent marks in my essay.
but brother/sister, while you are debating, you don't find an individual taking both stands, right? you are not writing an article over here, you're basically putting forward your biased opinion on a particular matter and you are to furnish the reader with your opinion

Tricks to count the word or the limit: write 3-4 lines in your normal writing , then take the average of words per line. Then find out how many lines will you need to write. Mostly people write 7 words per line then your line limit will be 300/7 ≈ 43 lines to 350/7 = 50 lines
This will be around 1.5 page

I don't know why after writing in word limit and nice easy why I got only 9 ... 😢
One thing I would like to mention is that quotes are not necessarily to be written and cisce teacher suggests that we should not write quotes between the essay as teachers don't actually looks and impress with quotes.

The last book i even tried reading was about the life of an Austrian painter who got really famous for his Incredible relationship with the Jews and the rest of Europe.
If you are writing a short story composition you should describe each characters/ mention their characteristics like hair, look, some kind of impression etc but in a controlled manner. And also try to start the composition with a strong opening that would make the examiner to read the rest of it. Anyways All the best dear friends :D

thats true but vocabulary is essential for writing essays, not the complicated words but atleast you should know what word to use as an alternative so that you dont keep repeating the same words again and again

Avoid argumentative essay because if you write "for" the topic then you will not get much ideas and you will end up writing against the topic so I would suggest not to attempt argumentative essay !!
