I’ve heard some people bash on Charisma that it’s a dump stat. I’d like to make the argument that having at least 6 would be beneficial because of the perk prerequisites for Better Criticals and Animal Friend. Course, having a high barter skill would pave the way for Pack Rat and Long Haul respectively 😎
Did a play through like this a year or so ago and it was like I was playing the game for the first time again. I also had high luck, but my strength and agility were laughably low.
Currently running through New Vegas Chocolate Vanilla Extended Plus modlist I have curtailed, from over 300 of Mutant Mods videos.. its a "lore friendly" mod pack thats focused on , well, expansion. If its a mod that adds functions to the game, and they are even remotely lore friendly like for example, Real time settlers - all the junk you collect is now useful, and building your own base is an option complete with raids once you are ready. You begin raids after building a barracks, so unless you want to be attacked dont build the barracks lol. Rob co certified, allows me to create robot companions , so an army of mr gutsy and washing machines for my 1 charisma , who needs friends when you can just make your own? Vicious Wastes - difficulty rebalance Bounty Hunting and Radiant Quest framework, mixed with FUNCTIONAL post game, makes the game playable as long as you want. Theres gonna be stuff to do and kill no matter what with these mods. 😅 Once im verified ill consider paste binning a list if anyone's interested. My focus is gameplay, and functionality. I want more to do when I am outside of combat. I want more to do in combat , too, so bandages and bleeding added.. Cars standalone and frontier esp so we can have a mobile storage, and cover for firefights if you park the car right. Its crazy because I thought I would need a good pc to playViva Las Vegas with320 mods slapped ontop. Normally I play on beast pc, capital punishment but the mods on New Vegas dont work with TTW and add so much.
We do 9 agl 10 luck and 10 intelligence, four eyes and small frame , boom. Anything that gets within five feet of me will be crit into oblivion. I have videos of me fighting 5 King Radacorpions back to back with the .22 pistol you get from Goodsprings, 😅
I’m not gonna lie, on a glitchless run (or as glitchless this game can be) charisma is a dump stat on its own, because it has 2 perks, no checks(?), and is only responsible for 2 skills. Intelligence can be kept at 5 or raised to 6 depending on how much you’ll invest into books. On glitched runs Charisma and Inteligence are 1 and 4 respectively, only because you need 9 intelligence for the think tank, and that’s it.
Helping Boomers with their injured and the solar array... only to then tell the redhead that the way to the base is safe LMAO. Goddamn, im playing through Fallout 3 but all these skillchecks and dialog options... Fo3 cant hold a candle to NV, but its still fun.
A high speech and charisma build ultimately become you telling Lanius, "If you east the west how can you west the east?" And somehow that shit works

better crits is PER not CHA. And even then it's probably fine not to bother with PER either if you don't want a crit build.

Better criticals is 6 perception, not charisma.

The fact I'm running cars and more , on an i5 CPU and 8gigs ram just blew my fucking mind. No lag or stutter. I can play for 8 hrs with no CTD.

1 CHA, 100 speech is the way to go. charisma is a useless stat
