Moissanite is cheap because they need SiC MOSFET. But you’re right that lab diamonds aren’t going to appreciate in value either. So maybe diamond coated moissanite is the way to go to pass the diamond/moissanite tester.
I learned this lesson the hard way in my early 20s unfortunately. Small diamonds have absolutely no re sell value. They sparkle and look ok. I would pay a lot of gold not small diamonds. Mossonite is tue way to go period
