The test is to show how the addition of Liqui Moly Oil Additiv MoS2 to the engine protects the engine from scratches.
Sam pure Liqui Moly 4100 top tec 5W40 had the following result:
- 0.11 (sample 3.50) • Liqui Moly 4100 top te... and score - 0.18 (sample 2.92) www.youtube.co... = yWmlGVgqKQA
Liqui Moly 4100 top tec 5W40 with Liqui Moly Oil Additiv MoS2 has a score of - 0.09.
It gives us the following results:
- sample 3.50. 0.11 - 0.09 = 0.02
- sample 2.92. 0.18 - 0.09 = 0.09!

Yes. As you can see, it increases the oil's resistance to abrasion of the oil film - reducing metal-to-metal friction.

O motor do meu fiesta zetec rocam ano 2011 parecia pesado, coloquei o Liqui Moly Oil Additiv MoS2 e mudou de água pro vinho, o zetec rocam diminuiu 80% barulho e ta macio pra caramba, ja rodei 500 km, estou até agora sem acreditar que esta funcionado. Parabéns a Liqui moly.

My Scooby witn EJ engine ran so low on oil that It didn't show in the dipstick. I May Have run like that by 400 Miles. I was running normally, no skidpading It or autocrossing. The Pickup oil got oil even that low. Now, If I was beating It, that should Have been the end of It.

BMW 318is, BMW 528i,BMW 320i, BMW 125i mit "m-performance pak" und nun im BMW m140i -alle Motoren liefen/laufen ruhiger, besonders wenn sie kalt waren, hatten gefühlt eine bessere Gasannahme. Aber es reicht bei jedem 2. Ölwechsel das Zeug rein zu kippen. Denn der Trockenschmierstoff Molybdändisulfid sitzt bereits in den "Kratern" der Zylinderbuchsen.Wenn man sich so etwas unter einer starken Lupe ansieht, dann sieht es aus wie eine Mondlandschaft. Diese Löcher werden durch den Trockenschmierstoff gefüllt. Der Kaltstart ist auch besser, da das Zeug ein Trocken Schmiermittel ist. In meinen Autos ging die Öltemperatur nie über 125 Grad, vorher waren es 135 Grad. Ist gut für den Turbo, denn kalte Luft hat mehr Sauerstoff. Öl kühlt bekanntlich den Motor.

I would like to ask you this, if I add mos2 to oil with viscosity 5w/30 will the mixture viscosity change? and how much approximately it will raise or lower (the viscosity)?

Well I can tell you that I had 0w-30 oil in my car (3.8 liters) and added 300 ml of Ceratec (I imagine it's about the same viscosity as Mos2) and I had the oil analysed in a lab - the viscosity was right on point for 0w-30 oil. So it didn't change it significantly.
You shouldn't do dry starts! At least cover the bearing parts with a light coat of oil!
What would happened if you mix all the oils and additives at 1ml quantities to make the ultimate 0 Friction Oil.... Very Curious... Of the results...

hi, i want to know that if i use AMSOIL 5w30 for my diesel car, is there any benefit to add Liqy moly MOS2 in it, or pouring mos2 in amsoil will damage / worsen engine oil quality or no benifit .
Concentration of friction and load is at one single point....Instead of needle try using plate....Spherical plate would be better to get similar condition like piston-cylinder....hope you understand...

Please note that there is Spherical plate or Spherical pipe of diameter atleast 10mm also the axis of both specimen and rotating shaft must be perpendicular to each other....I am waiting to see results...

Biggest engine wear is on valvetrain, not on piston/cylinder contacts. Second biggest is on bearings, the one you are mentioning only comes after those.

anti friction equal to less wear.... thats a simple logic....
Ten test pokazuje jedynie, że ten dodatek w tym niemiarodajnym teście chroni wałek w tej śmiesznej maszynce. Nie wiem co to za parametr "ścieranie filmu olejowego"? Pewnie chodziło ci o ścinanie filmu olejowego. O ile oczywistym jest, że dwusiarczek molibdenu może zmniejszyć współczynnik tarcia, o tyle nie ma mowy o wpływie na współczynnik lepkości oleju. Warunki jakie występują w tym teście nie występują w żadnym silniku. Można spróbować to podciągnąć pod współpracę krzywki wałka rozrządu ze szklanką popychacza, ale to będzie znaczne nadużycie. Poza tym ten dodatek miesza się z olejem silnikowym w innych proporcjach niż w tym "teście". Podsumowując... bzdura.

Yes, it works, but not so good as I thought. There are a lot of oil additive which give better protection than this oil additive.
