Kind of a stretch, don't you think? I think Stallone's Rocky is better. He got it from The Real Rock. That in itself is s great story about Stallone. I understood that reference!
But it's a goof! The character of Ironman wasn't created until 1963 and wasn't well known until 68!
For a tv movie it's certainly better than most of the crap they've been putting out the past 10 years
Good Movie.
The real 50-0 fighter. Mayweather aint s*** compare to him
Calzaghe was real too.
@MANCHESTER UNITED F.C I do like cheese too
@MANCHESTER UNITED F.C KISS MY ASS.
To me mayweather is still 49-0 cuz he fought a mma fighter.
@M lol definitely not soccer will never be number 1 in America lmao we got baseball football basketball much better sports to watch then boring ass soccer
The most unconventional, smallest undefeated heavyweight in the history of boxing. A true legend.
1:27:29 I just love it when the music switches to choir.
The music really made this movie feel like a high level theatrical release. I found out it was made for TV after watching it and I said “WHAT? REALLY?” Pretty amazing.
@@jakemastrocola4844 You can say that again.
I guess this was an ok film in its time but I would really appreciate an updated Marciano film!!
the great
They say the pugilist is the the loneliest sport - and it is, as no one knows what goes through a pugilists mind when he’s in that ring alone! What a great film, but so very sad that managers/promoters were such vile parasites, I just hope that these people learn some respect for the pain and human agony they go through in order to earn a living, to earn them a higher living!
Very good comment and very accurate
Anyone catch the "Hood Latch pull" when Rock pounded the hood? They didn't have inside pulls, except on a few high end cars.
I always thought rocky was a gentle and easygoing guy but his actor here looks like the meanest man on the planet lol
Best movie ever
Kind of a stretch, don't you think? I think Stallone's Rocky is better. He got it from The Real Rock. That in itself is s great story about Stallone. How he wrote the script, several wanted to buy it, but Stallone insisted he play Rocky. No studios wanted an unknown. 1 took the chance. His first payday, he went and bought his dog back he had to sell to eat, because he refused to sell his script without the lead part. It's a true underdog story.
@@jeffcampbell2710Maybe he meant based off a non-fictional fighter, I get it though. I would say this movie is better than Ali and the George Foreman film that came out recently.
