😂 it was fun seeing your realization of who Johnny Depp was. You have to at least watch 2 & 3. The rest you can leave alone but the first three Elm St movies are a must.
Fun Fact: Sam Raimi used a poster for Wes Craven’s The Hills Have Eyes on the wall of the cabin basement in Evil Dead, so Craven returned the nod by having Nancy watching Evil Dead to stay awake in Elm Street.
6:15 You and my sister share this childhood trauma. She hates this scene. She had a nightmare where she was being chased by Jack Nicholson with super long arms. 🤣🤣🤣!! I knew it was a dream she had because of this movie.
Nightmare on elm street used to be my favorite horror franchise but when I grew up I lost some love for some movies but it’s still my 3rd favorite cause I love Freddy Krueger, his kills get really creative in part 3, the concept is great/scary, Nancy is a great final girl, and the practical effects still hold up so well.
i didnt know u were being serious about johnny depp till the ending lmaooo. hope u continue the franchise! this one, the third one, new nightmare, and freddy vs. jason are my faves.
This timing could not have been more perfect! I am currently in my pajamas, wearing my Elm Street shirt, and I’m drinking coffee. ☕️ I am so ready for this reaction!!!
A Nightmare On Elm Street 4 The Dream Master Is Such A Brilliant Sequel In The franchise It's A Favorite To Many Of It's Fan Watch The Movie It's My Favorite Sequel Of Them All Celebrating 35 Years This Year ❤🎉😊
One of my favorite movies ever! And this is just me being old, but it's weird to me that current-day Johnny Depp is the one you picture when you see his name and young 80s/90s heartthrob Johnny Depp is the unrecognizable one... 🤣 He was huge back then, my sister had a pinup of him in her room! Okay, old man rant over. 😂
I think if you had been avoiding sleep as much as Nancy had been, you'd have fallen asleep in a matter of minutes especially if the nurses had sedated you, and coming from someone who used to have to get regular EEG's performed, they WILL sedate you if you don't fall asleep
please keep watching the franchise. zzavid and the gang at the Horror Hour will ALL love you if you watch Pt 2 (and you'll figure out why pretty quickly, i think-lol.) Part 3 is the fans' favorite (but not mine, for me it's the original and Wes Craven's New Nightmare (aka NOES7). as always, love your videos, love your kitty, and am very thankful i have such entertaining folks such as you making me smile every time i watch one. sweet dreams, alex...
Yes! Thank you for reacting this movie that has one of my favorite horror icons. I hope you react to the other films. Also the part where you found out Glenn was played by Johnny Depp had me laughing my ass off. Keep up the great work Alex.
I had nightmares for years about Freddy. Okay yeah I still do. The second is fun camp but skippable then 3 and 4 go with 1. 5 and 6 are kind of awful but New Nightmare and Freddy Vs Jason are fun!
Puggapillar The events of this Original Film part of the reason The New Sheriff in Freddy vs Jason who doesn't become new The New Sheriff of that town until sometime in 1999 keeps telling his Deputies 2 shut their mouths as well as keep their mouths shut about that town's residential SOB (Son of a B"tch) Boogeyman (Freddy The Bastard Son of 100 Maniacs/Springwood Slasher turned Supernatural Dream Demon Krueger) in order 2 permanently contain him & keep him that way!
(Just sharing) Craven's inspirations for the Freddy included a bully from his school during his youth, a disfigured homeless man who had frightened him when he was 12, and the 1970s pop song "Dream Weaver" by Gary Wright.
Idc what anyone else says, if you want to know why Freddy goes after the kids and not the adults, you need to watch Freddy's dead the final nightmare, which technically is the last "movie" seeing as new nightmare is set in the real world and not the world of Hollywood, and Freddy vs Jason is almost a stand alone
Ohmygosh!! Please watch part two of Nightmare on Elm Street. It tells the back story of how Freddy became the way he is. No spoilers but its a very disturbing back story. His poor mom.
A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge (1985) A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987) A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master (1988) A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child (1989) Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare (1991) Wes Craven’s New Nightmare (1994) Freddy vs. Jason (2003) A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010)
Part 2 is quite divisive but has become a cult classic, I think it has the best version of Freddy Kruger, it’s pretty dark. Part 3 is fan favourite and quite frankly awesome, you will like it. Part 4 has great production and a great final girl, you do see a drop off in quality from here on and Freddy become more cartoonish as the series move on. Part 5 is my least favourite, it’s get pretty weird but again great production design Part 6 is again weird, it’s an ok finish for the series and still fun Wes Craven’s New Nightmare- I don’t really want to say to much, go in with as little knowledge as possible. The concepts and idea are fantastic and in a way it’s up their as the best movie in the franchise Freddy vs Jason has no right to be as good as it is considering how silly the concept is, it’s a fun watch Nightmare on Elm Street (remake) starts of pretty promising but sadly relies too heavily on things we have seen already. Probably not worth a reaction, but maybe it would interesting to see it
When I was a little girl, my brother and I were staying up late watching a vcr recording of Spaceballs. Since it was on a timer it played the part of the next movie that was on after. I had fallen asleep only to wake up to Wes Cravens New Nightmare. I couldn't sleep the rest of that night lol But now I love the franchise! Except the remake 😂
Saw this in the theater when I was 7 in March 1985 (it was an indie movie with a slow rollout to different areas. Told my dad it would be like Gremlins. It was not. 😂 I tried to run out of the theater and he pulled me back in "You dragged me out here, were watching this". 2 is... different. Wes Craven was not involved. General consensus is 3 is the best sequel... and 4 was the height of "Freddy Mania" where he became a marketing juggernaut. 5 is... well...a movie. 6 is... also... a movie that exists. 🤣 7 is sort of the return to for. Freddy vS Jason is just dumb fun.
oh that's right you watched the insidious franchise well lin shaye is the sister of bob shaye who was the head of new line cinema right until they were bought he also produced this movie and is responsible for this whole franchise being made the sequel bait ending was his idea
This was so fun, but please watch New Nightmare!? It's the obvious precursor to Scream in terms of meta-ness, and totally worth watching, even if you want to skip the other sequels.
Did you know Wes got the idea for this movie from a group of people having such bad nightmares they tried to stay awake? They ended up dying in their sleep. Look it up.
😂 it was fun seeing your realization of who Johnny Depp was. You have to at least watch 2 & 3. The rest you can leave alone but the first three Elm St movies are a must.
Second one is a shit
And New Nightmare too
@@Jacobthewrestlingfanfor the longest, all I've seen was the first one and New Nightmare. New Nightmare was just a Proto Scream and I loved it.
I like 4.
The 4th one is good to
When you realised Johny Depp was Glen. 🤣
He was?! Nahh that’s wild 😂
31:21 lmaooo whole movie asking for Johnny Depp while johnny is right in front of him
I like how you asked where Johnny Depp is, during Johnny Depp's scenes.
Never change Pugapillar.
Looking him straight in the face and asking 😂
its so funny seeing you not know Glenn was Johnny Depp and questioning where he is 💀
Pugg holding his eyes open was absolutely terrifying
Looked like a great cover to a 70s progressive rock album.
You figuring out Glen was Johnny Depp is priceless 😂😂😂. Awesome reaction now gonna go watch the second one in case you do it next!
Fun Fact: Sam Raimi used a poster for Wes Craven’s The Hills Have Eyes on the wall of the cabin basement in Evil Dead, so Craven returned the nod by having Nancy watching Evil Dead to stay awake in Elm Street.
And then it all came full circle when Raimi put Freddy's glove in that same basement in "Evil Dead 2."
“Where’s Chucky” about to turn into “Where’s Freddy?” and all his sequels lol. Loved the reaction, always funny
6:15
You and my sister share this childhood trauma. She hates this scene. She had a nightmare where she was being chased by Jack Nicholson with super long arms. 🤣🤣🤣!! I knew it was a dream she had because of this movie.
To be honest, that's more terrifying than Freddy doing it
It took me this long to realize that the stupid coo that took forever to get Nancy’s dad is the sheriff from Scream (1996)
You should definitely watch through the whole franchise! It’s a really fun series to watch, even when the movies get bad later on. Part 3 is awesome!
Couldn't have been Evil Dead 2 "1987".. This came out in "84".. Had to be Evil Dead "1981"
21:58 honestly the scariest thing I've ever witnessed on this green planet
i didnt know u were being serious about johnny depp till the ending lmaooo. hope u continue the franchise! this one, the third one, new nightmare, and freddy vs. jason are my faves.
The Dream Master is underrated honestly
This first movie still scares me as a full grown adult
Lin Shaye is also producer Bob Shaye's sister. He created New Line Cinema, the House that Freddy Built!
This timing could not have been more perfect! I am currently in my pajamas, wearing my Elm Street shirt, and I’m drinking coffee. ☕️ I am so ready for this reaction!!!

I can't believe you didn't see Johnny Depp. He's right there. 🤣🤣🤣🤣!!
Fun fact. This was Johnny Depps first role. Wes Cravens daughters wanted him in the role because they were smitten with him.
That's what "Introducing" means in the credit. Common sense.
"Run Nancy" is the song and you can, in fact, dance to it. Should be played at Halloween parties.
"Where's Johnny Depp?"... 😂😂😂
"Getting railed from what looks liked singed bacon" , quote of the video man. You're hilarious. Great reaction.
A Nightmare On Elm Street 4 The Dream Master Is Such A Brilliant Sequel In The franchise It's A Favorite To Many Of It's Fan Watch The Movie It's My Favorite Sequel Of Them All Celebrating 35 Years This Year ❤🎉😊
Im pretty sure that the movie on the television when Glen sneaks into Nancy's room is evil dead, not evil dead 2
"Did they have melatonin in the 80's?"
No, we had cocaine
21:58 - I don't know why, but that hit an *extreme* level of uncanny valley for me.
Mate JD has been in the film since the start he's playing Nancy's boyfriend Glenn 😅
14:08
😂 Freddy wanted to take out the trash then changed his mind. 😂😂
*shakes head at you not realizing who Johnny Depp was*
Lol that comment, where the hell is Johnny Depp? Then realizing at the end that he was in dang near the whole movie 😂❤️
One of my favorite movies ever! Heather Langenkamp would likely appreciate your hair comment. It is probably the best in 80s horror.
I think if you had been avoiding sleep as much as Nancy had been, you'd have fallen asleep in a matter of minutes especially if the nurses had sedated you, and coming from someone who used to have to get regular EEG's performed, they WILL sedate you if you don't fall asleep
Right on! Good for you!! I think one of the creepiest parts is Tina’s body getting dragged down the hall by an invisible force.

Omg please pleaseeeeee watch the whole series, I've been waiting for you to do these for a long while 😭✨️
Johnny Depp has been in the movie, a fair amount, he's Nancy's boyfriend.
One of my favorite movies of all time
I had nightmares for years about Freddy. Okay yeah I still do. The second is fun camp but skippable then 3 and 4 go with 1. 5 and 6 are kind of awful but New Nightmare and Freddy Vs Jason are fun!
This reaction was so good!! I would love to see your reaction to the second and third one! The dream warriors song is a bop!!
I'm just happy you did the First Nightmare on Elm st, because it's a classic. 💓
That looks like Johnny Depp's beautiful face to me but if you've never seen him young he might be hard to recognize.
5:39
Iconic shot. ❤
You should definitely check out the 3rd and 4th one at least along with Wes Craven's New Nightmare
oh hell yeah, my favorite (and first) horror film! this oughta bring back memories
Same. I started watching these in middle school, started my love for Freddy Krueger
@@marklouis1890first watched it when i was 8, i was horrified (obviously) but it introduced me to the wonders of horror. will forever love it

I don't know how many times I screamed at my screen when you kept asking where Johnny Depp was LMAO
The entire time I’m yelling Glen is Johnny Depp 😂😂😂

In the first draft, Kruger was a psychotherapist who enjoyed to play golf.
