So good to see Captain Tyler doing such a great job! What a relief it must be to have a second captain on board! Hope you had a few good days of in Miami! Looking forward to the next videos
Steve and Tyler and who ever else helped out on the drones and camera's thanks for an excellent video getting to Fort Lauderdale, Florida USA safely. And congrats Steve and Brent for no longer being POLYWOGS. Looking forward to next video. Oh and the breakfast being prepared by the 2 lovely ladies looked delicious so Dean and Nina have better watch out. Chief officer Tyler congrats on getting MY LOON safely over the Atlantic Ocean to Florida job well done.
You’re saying when they crossed the Atlantic they’re officially shellback when I was in the navy that meant when you crossed the equator, you’re a shellback you’re supposed to get a tattoo of a turtle with a half shell you should make them get turtles when their arms or calves or thighs, lol Just a suggestion John from South Jersey in the US the good part of the State lol
Wow, Paul’s got his work cut out, the commentary was brilliant, the new “temp” captain was very informative. Well done. On another note, some lovely tanned legs in that crew now, hope they’re not all leaving 😂😂😂.
I get the impression that super yachts are not necessarily the most comfortable places to be in rough weather on the open ocean but there again what boats are? But, unfortunately gone are my dreams about doing a round the world tour or living on my imaginary super yacht. Keep them in the Maldives 😂
There is a lot of paperwork before arrival, and yachts crossing from Europe are a low priority for C&BP. Every now and then, they'll pay us a surprise visit on arrival
So as a yacht crew crossing the Atlantic you go from pollywog to shellback. In the US Navy I think they have something similar when you cross the equator, in yachting do they have a different thing for crossing the Equator or is crossing the Equator a big deal in yachting?
On yachts, we don't often cross the equator, but we cross that Atlantic at least twice a year, so it's a good fun way for the crew to partake in the traditional Pollywog Ceremony.
sorry you feel that way. The weather is the most important part of the crossing as we watch it constantly, making sure we're in the best conditions possible.
I earned my "Shellback" while I was in the US Marine Corps. So 1`m not a Polywog anymore. So I feel the hell those polywogs are about to go through when they cross the equator. We had to travel on Navy ships, so thats when it happened. We were on our way to war with Iraq during the Desert storm war.
@@halfazzini3791 I got lucky I guess. especially me not being officially Navy. I think on that pump to the gulf war, we dipped below the equator just to have that ceremony. that was also my only pump during my six years active duty.
@ yeah, you don’t? Haha -15°f was the HIGH for 2 days Christmas ‘23. Huge fan of yours! Found you via Aquaholic when you first started, been following Aquaholic for easily 8+ years now. Always been fascinated with yachts since I was a kid, I’m a carpenter haha, come snowboard some time?
To whoever is filming, look at the early scene where the fellow is explaining the track of the boat amongst the weather systems. That side-on filming is all the rage but I learnt nothing and was just frustrated. He was saying interesting things but I needed to see in close up where the boat was compared to the plotted track and weather. A closeup of that screen with his voice was the answer. But no, videographers have to use this stupid filming at 45 degrees technique and it looks artificial and fake. There is nothing wrong with the subject looking straight into a camera.
What a moronic episode. Surely grown ups don’t need to do anything like this for Neptune. It is simply workplace bullying and should never be tolerated. Such a shameful and frankly unlawful display
Did it not make financial sense to do the transit on one engine? There's a penalty on rudder angle and lost effort, but engine running hours/lub oil consumption, together with better load on the one engine usually compensates. Loon is a handsome vessel in transit - that is for sure.
I’m a big fan of your vlog. But I guess they can’t all be winners. Found myself hitting the FF button a lot during this one. Not sure anyone actually cares enough about weather to sit through all those reports. When you just don’t have the content, maybe try shorter Vlogs? Looking forward to a better one next week…
Sorry guys it doesn't look like this one is a premiere We're here, though so lets have a chat
King Neptune was awesome

Can anyone refuse to do the king Neptune ceremony?

Good job, Captain Tyler!!!
Loving the updates with the the engineers!

I would work for free on this charter as a chef . What a crew! Proudly South African.
Loved the live of the passage. Seeing the stories on the long form are fantastic 😍
I do remember watching the sunsets on the crossing.. they were stunning
we were very blessed with some amazing sunrises and sunsets during the crossing 🌅
Its amazing how Steve can operate a drone with his hands tied behind his back 😋
Beautiful. Safe travels Loon!
We did!! Jenny & Trevor Owen Lancashire, England 😃👍
Great Thanks for the adventure.

I am watching you from cape town , am a armchair sailor ,good luck SA crew
Great live stream, always enjoy them and the videos 👍
Congrats on the safe crossing.
Love your videos! Hope you had a great trip and look forward to more great footage from the Caribbean this winter!
Thanks, Sam; the overlay footage was corrupted for this scene, so we did our best. We've got new software now to prevent this from happening again
“Oi look at me!” 😂😂😂😂 How can he look at you with those chiseled t-shirt abs looking back at him!?! 😂😂😂😂😂😂 Frickin’ hysterical
😂🧜♀️
Happy Holidays from New York! Real feel temp of 25 f. Loving the sunny vibes! Enjoyed the Live. Thanks for keeping the videos rolling.😊
Amazing crossing as always! Live stream was amazing, I look forward to the next live!
Thank you Pengu!
Epic Team Loon!❤
Jumping from top of Loon is quite the height. I hope you guys made sure beforehand that the water is deep enough
love seeing this docked at fort lauderdale, always drive by on my boat
make sure to say hi next time we're in town
Awesome ❤

21:00 It's called an Italian tune up! 😎 Let it rip!
while watching the Florida docking live, i was surprised you weren't swarmed by customs/TSA as you docked.

Can you imagine a couple of subscribers winning a compo joining you all in a crossing ???
Maybe one day.
Who won the fish & ships contest 😂😮👍🏻👌🏻🧐
We never got the update for boats and fishes!!!!!!!!
Has Tyler been promoted to Capt. Clark’s position? Seems like he did a great job! Although I guess you wouldn’t post his screw ups lol
I'm confused: back in the old days you needed to cross the equator to become a shellback. That is quite a dip south you needed to take.
When you rinse the boat, is it fresh or salt water? If fresh, does it strain the system?
I've never been far enough from shore to loose sight of land
Ships totals????
It looks like the same berth you had when if Fort Lauderdale. Is that by design or just chance?
Ahhh who won the ships and the fish?
Which crew members have actually crossed the equator? (on previous vessels)
How do you deal with visas to all the countries that you touch on?

New to the channel. How often do you see other vessels when crossing The Atlantic?
Always great videos but sometimes a bit too much weather updates for me.
sorry you feel that way. The weather is the most important part of the crossing as we watch it constantly, making sure we're in the best conditions possible.
What happened to the slide at the midway swim?
in the end, it was decided not to deploy it, so just a quick jump off the top, and then we kept going.
Does the full moon have effect on crossing the ocean dealing with the wind and ocean currents
Does the boat have stabilizers ?
yes, we have 2 large stabilizers on each side that do a great job steadying out the boat.
Who won the Fish & Ships contest?
I think Stephen lost so he didn't want to show it 😂

I was in the USN and still a pollywog after 3 Atlantic crossings, over and back. You become a shellback when and only when you cross the equator.
