You and me both! I'm really excited to build the tool shed and the garden. Making veggies in 1:48 scale will be something else but I'll try anything once.
They do look really cute, although I ran out of large slices and had to use lots of small ones. In reality, a 1:48 scale person would be clinging to the tree walking around the steps in some places bc the steps project so minimally from the trunk 😆
It really is! I can't wait to start adding more stuff to it, like the tool shed and garden. I want the inside of the Egg House to be cramped with baskets of fruits and veggies from the garden and potted flowers etc
I love how this little project is coming together, the spiral staircase is amazing and totally worth the effort of finding the right pieces to fit together. I’ve also used coffee grounds for soil in this weeks video, like minds lol
Thank you! I decided today I'm turning the yard into a flower garden and making this a garden and bee keeping farm. I love this new idea more than the veggie garden I had planned.
I have watched a lot of your videos and each one I am more amazed at your artistry! How you think of adding little touches to make things look realistic is amazing. I love miniature things and your creation are just incredible! You are very talented!
Thank you! I had been planning to put a vegetable garden outside but instead I'll be doing a bee keeper theme. Little bee hives and flowers and jars of honey. I love the new direction!
Isn't it funny how so much of mini crafting is improvising a technique with what we have on hand to see if it works? That's half the fun! I love the application of the moss flocking to the stair gaps and glue spills. It looks very realistic and beautiful! ❤
Looks fantastic! I think you should add a little bird's nest somewhere in the tree too! It would kind of be a play on the house being made of an egg. :)
I LOVE how the flocking moss looks so real and pretty and fixes so many issues. Your use of different colors raised it to the next level. Btw, between how the glue grips into the crinkles and crevasses of the aluminum and the clay grips the glue- you couldn’t separate them if you tried. The lumps of aluminum would shred first. Overall score: 10/10
I agree! Adding the flocking was an afterthought or making the stairs would've gone a lot faster. I wish I had a couple more larger pieces of branch. I had to be really strategic in using the big pieces. I kept turning pieces this way and that trying to get rid of tiny gaps. Then I just filled gaps at the end anyway with the flocking. That's a very good point. The clay does seem to have stuck very well and solid. No masking tape needed.
I love the addition of the coffee to the sifted dirt. I sifted dirt in my second to last video for my miniature plants for the Eternal Bookstore Book Nook that I am customizing. I love the wood slice spiral staircase. I wonder if I can make a miniature live edge resin ocean with a mini wood slice like this? Where do you get your flocking?
I think the coffee adds some nice darkness and texture. It oddly doesn't smell like coffee. I'm sure you could! That would be really cool. I made a live edge dining table for my 1:144 scale farmhouse. I made it from a tiny piece of branch and some staples.
@Queen City Minis is the hobby store near earth and tree? Also did you go to the recent mini convention in Augusta? I missed it as I was unaware of its existence 😔
@@TaraFinlay Somewhat. I go to HobbyTown, although I just googled to see what it's called and realized there's another hobby shop right in my town I've never visited. No, I didn't go! I also didn't know it exists. I have actually entered reminders into my phone to sign up for miniature classes before they fill up. I want to take workshops at various shows this year. I'm going to the Tom Bishop show in Chicago in April.
I got the kit from a class at the International Guild of Miniature Artisans show in CT in 2022. The instructor was Jill Castoral. She has lots of kits on her website but I don't see this kit. www.jillcastoral.com
Omw, that's beautiful, can't wait to see the rest!
Well done!!
The steps came out great! Look forward to seeing this finished display.

What a perfect home for the goose egg! The stairs are just magical, I want to run up them! Lol

I really like the goose egg and how you worked it into a tree house. That is so cute. Have a wonderful day
I'm releasing a video for this project this week!
Absolutely exquisite, I love it, tfs x Julie 🇬🇧
Thanks so much 😊
WOW! It's fabulous so far can't wait to see the finished item.
Thank you! 😊
It’s so adorable!! I already want to live in it and it isn’t even done yet. Can’t wait to see the garden!! ❤❤❤
Same here! I think the garden will be so adorable
Cool idea! Love how you use tree branch rounds to make the spiral staircase. I love this project.
Thank you! 😊 It's a lot of fun
This is one of the coolest things I've ever seen! So jealous!

Such a wonderful project. So far, I don’t think it could be any nicer.
Thanks! This has been a tricky project for me since it's tough working inside a curved egg, but I think it's coming along.
@@queencityminis I can only imagine. Looking forward to the rest
This project is so lovely!!

Cool idea for the steps.
Thank you! It was easier than I expected. The woman who designed the kit is Jill Castoral.

That's an adorable idea! I added a 1:48 scale bird nest to witch's cottage.
Very cool
