      It's true they don't back date but if you're in a bk can't get a card it's good to be authorize user 30days after they ad you ,it will show on your credit account, after that it's building a history anyway while you're in a bk. And if you can find some one with 4 years are longer still good . What I am saying is anything better than nothing

    I have an extremely urgent question I'm trying not to be homeless right now. I became disabled which screwed my credit up because of doctors bills. I don't know a whole hell of a lot but I don't have positive credit either right now. I have a friend with overall good credit but he doesn't carry credit cards he pays loans Etc so you his positive credit but no credit card he offered to take out a credit card and put me on as authorized user to help me. Would this still help even though it's a brand new card and he has no history with that card? Did they simply go by your credit history or by that specific card? I hope you see this because I am literally almost homeless

    • @StephanieRZ
      @StephanieRZ 8 месяцев назад

      Aw wow. How’ve you been holding up in recent times? May by God’s grace, and yourself, you’re doing okay.
      By what you mentioned, anyone with good credit hoping to help you is a pretty great start. It’s like piggybacking with someone you hopefully trust & in good standing. It’s just important who it’s with, and the general details of how it works (for authorized users & payee/primary cardholder).
      The thing is, if new to a card, having no history there, they will likely check credit & that new card history I believe Or the primary cardholder will need to give access to have an authorized user (so they request for it), and surely access can be granted.
      I remember getting notified when someone I know was opening a new card, they promote authorized users all the time. So it’s surely not a problem. - It just needs to be opened first. And then add the authorized user after having the active card. 💯🙏🏼 *Does not automatically have a person/authorized user included in the *application process - It’s after an opened, active card. ✅
      I hope this helped in anyway, well regards. This is simply from the bits of information I’ve informed myself too, as I’m also learning as I go about credit and finance.

      I get this question a lot - but unless there is a fraudulent or incorrect piece involved, they won't just remove it. Lots of hackers and fakes will promise to remove it but they just send dispute letters on your behalf and it is generally not possible to remove negative information if it is 100% correct. Best effort you can make is to file a dispute to the credit bureaus and see if they respond or remove it. Good luck!

    I'm trying to add my 1 year old daughter as an authorized user on my chase freedom unlimited but it doesn't give me an option to add her social security number. How will her credit get boosted if the card will not even be attached to her social? I've called chase and they say to contact the credit bureaus and the credit bureaus say to call chase lol

    • @missbehelpful
      @missbehelpful  3 года назад

      What a mess! I would imagine this is a Chase issue because when I added my little brother as an authorized user to my card they did ask for his name, DOB and SSN within the bank website so I would suggest continuing to ask to speak to a Chase manager until they give you a clear explanation. Good luck and let me know what happens!

      You’re better off putting that money into a secured card as collateral so in 6 months to a year of good payments you’ll get approved for an unsecured card

    • @missbehelpful

      Good question! No it will not. Just know that they will have a credit card that they can use to spend money on your credit card account so make sure they don't make purchases like crazy. One thing I did was add my brother as authorized user and then take the credit card from him so he cannot use it. Helped his credit and I can sleep better at night knowing that he will not ruin my credit or put me in debt haha

      I just call and ask them to waive it. They do and always say this is a 1 time courtesy. I messed up getting a capital 1 card and overlooked the annual fee part. Yup silly me, will never get a card with annual fees, at the same time not gonna cancel right away.
