Thank you! I love the intrigue and mystery of a good doodad. What on earth does this do? 😂 I have picked up a little metal doodad with spokes on it. Can’t wait to the solve the mystery of what it creates. Maybe I could do a whole doodad series😊.
Hi Leanne love all you treasures especially doodads, always special. ❤ After your recommendation of Australian Wildflowers in Stumpwork was lucky enough to find a reloved copy, so it now has a new home. 😊 It is a beautiful book so thankyou for sharing . Have a fantastic weekend
Wonderful! I am so happy Sue! I am quite taken with the wreath in that book. Maybe I could work on that while waiting for our next field notes prompt. I can’t pass up a new doodad! 😂
The rose maker?? Thank you for joining in Leanne 🥰 love the apron and My Mum sold and did Hobytex for years, when she’s passed two years ago I was given some of her beautiful pieces she’d done 🥹 I’d love to learn how to use one of those spindles 🤗 lovely craft things 👏🏼
My pleasure joining in on your hashtag. Is there anything better than shopping second hand and making something beautiful? Yes, definitely used the rose maker a few times now. It’s a fun gadget. How lovely there are still some of your Mum’s hobbytex pieces. 😂
Fun goodies! I’m sure I’ve seen you using a rose maker, unless it was a different one? Great finds and the bulbs and birds are right on tune! Cheers, Christine 💙🧵🪡
What a beautiful haul Leanne , great idea going into the shop with a list as don’t know about you but I tend to get so distracted and feel like a kid at the candy store wanting everything. Love your colour palette for the pouch , I made one of them and was very pleased how it turned out,and so handy . Looking forward to seeing your completed pouch. And look at those blues almost 50 shades of blues can never have to many . And those do dads love them. ❤oh wanted to add that I recall hobby tex we painted our T shirts when we were kids they were so much fun and very fancy idea at the time .
I laughed watching this video back. Did I mean to buy so many blues? 😂the list is a must for me because I get so distracted too! I have made 3 of Jennnifer Clouston’s seeing caddies since I filmed this video. Love them. 😊
Hi Leanne, I visited The Sewing Basket recently when I went to the Sydney Quilt and craft fair and found a few lovely things that I would use. Your haul was amazing! I am pretty sure you have used the rose maker and I think your Duchess Embroidery set is the one that may be patiently waiting to be embroidered. I was lucky enough when one of my stitching friends gave me a lovely table cloth set to embroider it truly is beautiful cannot decide whether to combine wool embroidery with it? Tell me what you think?
You nailed it! That embroidery set is looking down at me from the top of the crafty cupboard as we speak, saying don’t you forget me!😂 I am going to look for a piece where I have used wool on linen so you can see. I think it can look lovely if you use fine crewel wool like Appletons. When I have experimented with tapestry wools, I didn’t like the chunky texture, but that is just my taste. I seem to like things tiny and delicate.😊
In sentimental treasures, the blue flower in the middle and the lazy daisies above the brooch are in wool.ruclips.net/video/6PznCpmOLXo/видео.htmlsi=wK8QptzbAjEejCoQ
@@leannescraftycupboard Hi Leanne, Thank You so much! I do have some op shop Appleton wools that I could use. Great idea I do like delicate as well depends on the fabric that I am using usually.
Love everything!!! Happy you had a wonderful time in the Sewing Basket . Thank you very much ❤❤❤
I did, thanks Giusi! 😊
Lovely finds, particularly like the doodads! 😂

What a find with the ladies apron and the lace edge bulb doily!
The sewing basket is so good.
So funny it matches our current prompt. Think that’s why Inwas so excited for field notes. Right up my alley! 😊
Lovely Haul Leanne will be watching what you do with your awesome goodies. Sending hugs from over the ditch. xx
Thank you! Can you grab great treasures second hand in NZ too? 😊

Yep, I sure have used that rose maker. It was funny seeing what I bought back then fits the theme we are working on now. 😊
Lovely treasures you found🫶🏻
Thank you Betty. I felt very lucky to find such lovely things. So grateful to people who donate items to let them have new life.😊

The rosy pink tablecloth is all in Appleton’s wools. ruclips.net/video/aILCK90tuzU/видео.htmlsi=ShAWm4eWol35Mmrb

I also tagged you in an old post of a piece that is wool, ribbon, beads and embroidery floss.
