Vince Kral and His Commodore 64
Join Vince as he takes you on a nostalgic journey with his vintage Commodore 64 from the 1980s. Vince uses his childhood C64 to create artworks, develop programs, play classic video games, and compose music with various programs that fully exploit the unique SID chip, giving the C64 its distinctive and timeless sound.
Vince will share everything he's learned about the C64 over the years, as well as the things he's forgotten and is rediscovering. For digital painting, he uses a Koala Paint Pad, a pad and stylus that allows you to draw and paint digital images down to the individual pixel. It's old school to the point where many C64 paint programs don't even offer printing options.
After a year of trial and error, Vince has found a way to transfer images from the old C64 to his modern MacBook for printing. Follow Vince to discover how he achieved this and enjoy his other adventures in using computers to create art!
