Mike litterally made me passionate about fingerboarding, even after 10 years passed I started buying fingerboard again and he still is the legend I remembered
I now own two G16 setups because I tried my first and had to get another. Best board I've ever used, and I've tried a lot of them. Props for sticking with the high kicks even when the market tends to trend on low/medium kicks. I love how the board is lightweight and pops really crisp as well. Returning to fingerboarding after a decade and getting to use the latest Flatface boards is such a joy.
5:54 had me Legend, no longer a finger boarder myself but I just can't loose the love and remembering 12-13 years ago going to school and discussing your videos. Long live Flatface
Congrats on 20 years Mike. I remember early days of FF as it was my early days of fingerboarding… been a hell of a ride and I’m Glad to see you stuck with it and didn’t let the world take away your passion
Congrats on 20 years Mike! I've been following you for at least 15 years now and I've always had a deck with me through out the years even if I don't ride it often anymore. You're an inspiration to never give up and find my purpose, find the thing I will love. Keep going, I hope you never disappear from here!
Love the high kicks! i also had high kicks on my models and people always said my high kicks were too much! great finally to see this professional shredder agreeing! :D they look amazing!
So glad I noticed y'all had this in stock. I got an email after purchasing a Berlinwood Glow in the dark board and it happened to be out of stock and was happy to notice y'all had the G16! I got 2 G15 boards and love both so I look forward to seeing how the G16 is

Wow Mike! Nice job man, I’m proud of you for all the work you’ve done leading up to this. And beautiful place you’ve got there! I love nature so much and that’s a gorgeous Place.
Absolutely had a blast today at the flat face session was my first time going to something like that and flat face and it was awsome! Keep it up mike !
G16 is amazing... never knew low concave/high kicks was what I liked in a board until I started using my G16. Almost hard to use my other setups now that this one has been my main for a while.
You don't need to sell me Mike. I'm sold and I thought my G15 is just a great feeling board. Literally didn't finish the video and just copped one off the site! Happy New Year!
I’ve tried about every shape and size deck but I always come back to 32mm low concave with nice kicks. Bloob has a nice mellow deck shape I’ve been enjoying a lot
I paired my G16 with Dynamics and it made the board feel too tall. So if you’re not someone that “exaggerates” your hand when fingerboarding then probably go with BRTs or something similar that’ll give you a more casual experience And if you are using Dynamics, smaller wheels are the best choice, in my opinion
this video sold me. just ordered one of these badboys in all maple yesterday... i am so stoked! Gonna hand do some cool art on it & pair it up with Blackriver 3.0's and illpills. I sprung for the blackrivers for the first time ever for this dream build, it was super hard to find them in all chrome 32mm within the US but I managed. I'm super jazzed I was able to snag up the g16 in all maple in that tiny pocket of time it was available. When I wear out my art it will look all cool and wooden in the showing spots like my real decks.
follow up. Ive been rocking this deck for a week now. It is Dope AF. You guys shipped that so fast too, wow, thank you! There was a change in plans... I was going to art it up, and I know I have the skill to do a perfect flat shinny finished good job that would look amazing... but I am smitten by the prettiness of it's natural wood. The speckles in the maple are just so damn gorgeous, how can I possibly cover any of it. Also I ended up swapping the Black Rivers for Dynamics from another setup I have. tried both trucks on it and both were great, but I really dig the pop i'm getting with the Dynamics. I have a cool little 4 slot wood display rack which is like the shrine of my most cherished boards, and yours is the current most coveted setup on the rack. And I'm a pretty weird guy you know, like I talk to these boards, they are like my old friends and weve been there you know. Seriously though I talk to my fingerboards when no one is watching, not like full blown conversations, i just thank them and stuff let hem know they are appreciated, say sorry for dropping them you know. The other night after a sick session I gave my g16 a little smooch and thanked it for being so awesome before putting back on the rack.
I got the same g16 you threw in the water ! lol love it Mike. Been watching you since the very beginning and you inspire a lot of what I do with my fingerboarding 🙏🏼

Just received my g16 and its perfect, doing simple tricks like sw back tails feel so much better because the high kicks grip the fingers every time, the deck is slightly shorter than a g15 which gives more control imo
I would love to see a 28mm/29mm edition sometime down the line. It's a shame that all the deck sizes these days are generally 32mm or greater. I've been using thinner decks since I started back in 2008.
Yeah diff sizes would be amazing… 33.6 is too wide for my small fingers and it kinda slows things down but otherwise the shape is so good, I hope he makes some in a smaller width soon

kingpin holes, its a remnant from the old days where kingpins would actually stick out in that spot. some still do, but most pro trucks dont have that problem. I made decks without those holes for a bit and got a lot of complaints so I brought them back!
@@mikeschneider Honestly it's a blessing that you still have them, because dynamic trucks are reverse kingpin and I like tightening them to get a medium looseness. I recently set up a different deck with dynamics and couldn't tighten them too much because the kingpin can only go so far in, they were too loose for me so unless I change the bushings they'll have to ride loose.
I bought a G16 and I have to admit that I don`t like the feeling when riding it. Tail and Nose are way to steep for the length of the board. Just a heads up, I know Mike said that he designed the board to be used with 32 mm trucks but please do not take this as a rule set in stone. I’ve been finger boarding for almost 25 years, I started in 2000 and I have a G6 and it is one of two of the best performing shapes I’ve ever had And I hate 32 mm trucks on it. I ride 34 mm trucks and they fit perfectly. From Axel to Axel both dynamics and black Rivers are about 33 1/2 mm even though they say 34 so it fits perfectly. I hate the feeling when my board overhang even slightly. if my wheel or axle sticks out by a 10th of a millimeter I’m not gonna complain. Plus more room to grind. That’s not to say that you can’t use 32 trucks on these but I personally find 34 Work Way better. And you can just tell from looking that the 32s Mike uses are actually shorter than the board but when I look at my own G6 with 34 dynamics, it’s exactly the perfect fit, when I look straight down on the board, if I squint, I can see maybe a sliver of the wheel going past the deck but I ride G4 which are really wide. If you used a slimmer or smaller wheel, they would be perfectly flush with the deck. I’m only saying this because it’s Mike’s preference that he likes 32 trucks on this deck, which is no problem, but I personally think that 34 trucks work better and perform better and I like the feeling more so take that as you will. Don’t think it’s a hard and fast rule that if you get this deck that you have to get 32 trucks.
