First, you need accessible gateways into these realms that do not require you to go away on a pilgrimage far away. You have two methods at your disposal. 1. Through becoming lucid in your dreams. Condition your mind to look for clocks, or to count your fingers in dreams. They will appear jumbled up in dreams, triggering you to become lucid. When that happens, start exploring that realm, study it, and journal your explorations in detail. Here you will learn deep principles about how things are created and manifested, among other lessons. 2. Induce sleep paralysis. This way is more challenging but still more accessible and practical. The gripping fear will be difficult to get over. Your greatest challenge will be to overcome your primal fear and face off whatever comes in the beginning moments just before your enter fully. This is the first test, the filter, the initial gateway. Many fail here. Did I hear Dagaara? I am a Dagaara from Nandom. I have been researching and asking to know more about my heritage but there is very little literature on our heritage. I will like to know more about my people and especially about our clans.
One of the best books I got years ago as a student on the path is called Of Water and the Spirit: Ritual, Magic, and Initiation in the Life of an African Shaman by the late Dagara elder Malidoma Patrice Somé. It not only gave me insight into Dagara culture but also reflected truths in my own journey, even though I'm from the south of the continent. I have a few insights on Dagara culture in videos on this channel, and I'll add more. You will also find some information in the book "Land, Mobility, and Belonging in West Africa" by Carola Lentz.
