I've been running 48v on 3 stock 24v carts no problem. You can watch my video that explains it if you want, but the short answer is that what matters is native RPM at native voltage. You want double the RPM you have to double the voltage. Just make sure your get a controller and charger of the same voltage. I give full links and prices to all mods in my videos
Gotta love those smooth roads! I got 24mph on the stock motor at 48v with a smaller 47 tooth sprocket. I ended up going with a 24v 350w huge motor and I'm running 29mph pretty cheap. The motor is so big i had to cut the forks 😂 it is surprisingly solid still. I kinda like the tensioner noise, but i think I'll get rid of it just so i can hear people that I ride with talk.

@@devonlatt1 and i quess you have made the chain a bit smaller? Becaus if i remove the tensioner it has alot of slack

It depends on how long your chain is. If you modify the mounting holes to where you can slide the motor that will take it the slack.
I know the XL motor has more tourque but isnt it technically slower than a stock motor on the same amount of power?
I believe it’s more torque and faster than a stock one because you can’t run 48v on stock only 36v
