Yes, the fret spacing on any scale length will always be the same no matter the number of frets. Just because of the mathematical way that the frets have to be measured (12th fret in the perfect center, 24th halfway between the 12th and the bridge, etc.)
Kevin Benoit is that really the case? interesting, i always thought shorter scale lengths had tighter spacings between frets because, well, it’s shorter
@@EmptyDomoKanti99 shorter scale length does put frets closer together, but that's not what this comment is about. It's about having more frets on the same scale length
I never understood why they need 26 frets I love the extra but is it truly needed? I’ve owned 2 Warwicks and absolutely love them! And so close to my 3rd so in no way and I saying anything negative about Warwick
Exactly what a bass is supposed to sound like in my opinion! Nice and punchy midrange and controllable treble and tight low end! I'd play this bass every day! :) I have a stage 1 streamer 6 that sounds like a dream.
Man, you are not kidding about cutting thru. I had never heard of Scale the Summit until I saw this Warwick video... Great sounding instrument and nice nice nice playing.. I am a new fan
Sweet Dude!!!! I would love to go to the Warwick factory and have a custom Corvette built for me. I have been playing a 1997 6 String Corvette Standard as my main axe for the last 18 years. I live in Beaumont, TX. and have been following Scale The Summit for years. Your playing style and amazing songs have been such a inspiration to me!!!!!
Oh...my...such a creamy instrument. I couldn't bring that to the church I slave at. I be most jealous and possessive if I saw some one else even looking at it. The sound and intonation speaks for itself. What ever the price it was well worth it. The playing?? You have the style and touch of a black well seasoned studio bassist. Thats the 2nd highest compliment I can honestly say to any none black player. Excellent bass. Superb techniques.
Sick Bass Brother!!!! Your playing skills amaze me. Love the STS material. Are you going to see OPETH 10/13/16 at the Warehouse. I'll be there in H-Town
Someone please tell me 1) what is the name for that crunchy, rolling-marbles-against-each-other sound, and 2) where it comes from? That is, how is it accentuated? Is it simply the mids? I'm not talking "growl," which I seem to understand, but that gnarly grindy sound punching thru?
I looked them up and they are single coil j-pickups, but I believe they have a 2nd "phantom coil" which removes the hum, while still sounding and acting like single coils.
***** Mark, listened through 'The Gentlemen' which I enjoyed and together with your playing but I don't think it featured the music @ 15s just after the Warwick intro?
good afternoon friend would you be so kind as to put the warick contact in the comments so we could also order a thumb or if you have a 6 string you want to sell! contact me
I will never get tired of that Warwick intro.
That makes one of us!
Well at least 9 of us, judging by the +1s!
Any tab of it?
I was wondering about that, too. This instrument sounds soooo ALIVE! And that groove is just... I don't even have a word for it. LOL!!!!
@@TheDynamiteRO sorry there isn't Any tab For it
Just one thing, cramming 26 frets into a 34" scale doesn't make frets smaller, it just adds more frets going towards the brdige.

I thought that I was the only person that was bothered by that comment.

Beautiful playing and love those bright harmonics sustaining

Couldn't agree more!
“The sound of Wood” 🤘😊
That bass is gorgeous.
Probably in my top 10 of all time. I was stunned when i saw it for 1st time.
The best-looking bass I've ever seen. I play guitar (wish I could play bass), but I know a beautiful instrument when I see it.
I'd like to thank Rings Of Saturn for the inlay inspiration
Wow! That bass sounds phenomenal! So growly!
Always wanted to get my hands on a Warwick bass. But this particular one has to be the most strikingly beautiful basses that I've ever seen.
Nathaniel Lollis it’s a beauty for sure!

Mate I just bought one Warwick bass 6 string 1997 on £800 is in good condition mate . How do you recommend it please?
I can't even imagine what this would cost, but when I hear you play, I know it was worth it!
Loving the composition of the whole thing
and obviously your playing crazy good, amazing passage at 7:45
That bass is gorgeous.
That bass is beautiful! Excellent playing as well!
that bass is gorgeous
Nice build, I'd Iike to get my hands on a thumb NT! I'm currently rocking the bubinga 6 corvette, great intro to Warwick for me.

Mark, what is your signal chain? Your tone sounds so much more full and rich than other Thumb Bass demos. I love it!
Sick Bass Brother!!!! Your playing skills amaze me. Love the STS material. Are you going to see OPETH 10/13/16 at the Warehouse. I'll be there in H-Town
beautiful bass. the sound is very different that the standard thumb. EMGX thats is why
Awesome bass with a great sound!
Very cool. Sounds great.
Perfect sound
Perfect sound !
Easily the best 6 string I've ever heard!!
Great video... Hi what type of blend pot have this bass?... Emg active blend or what ?... And what is the value of the volume pot?
Don't know the volume pot value, but this is the stock/standard MEC pre-amp they put in all of their basses.
@@LowEndUniversity oh ok, sound really killer the combination of the emg pickups with the mec preamp... Thanks for the information
The only thing id change is having no gloss on the back of the neck but it looks amazing and because its a thumb it will sound amazing
I actually sent it back and had them sand the gloss off on the back shortly after this! You nailed it. Haha.
👏🏻
beautiful instrument! Use it wisely :)
Amazing tone aside, that bass is a work of art.
What kind of pickups/preamps are in this bass? Can we have the complete signal chain?
Someone please tell me 1) what is the name for that crunchy, rolling-marbles-against-each-other sound, and 2) where it comes from? That is, how is it accentuated? Is it simply the mids? I'm not talking "growl," which I seem to understand, but that gnarly grindy sound punching thru?
Wow Mark himself replied :D thanks!
Thumb owner here: It's the pickup placement. The sound of the two pickups together in that position is very unique. It's also very addictive.
Ah hadn't considered that! Yes I'm totally addicted to that tone :3
it's mostly mids
The Warwick intro is like the porn hub intro of bass.
Ian Short duly noted
nice :)
i like it
but.... i guess the srf705 is my next goal
Did you order within the US? the reason I asked because of customs fees if any.
Nope, I got this from their German shop.
this bass is so fuckinggg coolll
Besides the inlays it's beautiful.
Are those EMGs single coil or humbucking?
If they're EMG JX, doesn't that make them single coil?
I looked them up and they are single coil j-pickups, but I believe they have a 2nd "phantom coil" which removes the hum, while still sounding and acting like single coils.
But they're intended to sound like normal j-pickups, correct?
Hello your bass guitar so beautiful bass ❤️👍👍👍👍👍can I know $$$?
$15,000
What song is behind the credits? (And I don't mean that annoying TMS E-slap fest)
***** Mark, listened through 'The Gentlemen' which I enjoyed and together with your playing but I don't think it featured the music @ 15s just after the Warwick intro?
+Mark Michell Mark thanks for the ID and for some great playing. Killer bass BTW
