Thank you, Sondre and Tonya. What a treat getting to know you. When I saw the Video in which Sondre said: " I smile when I get up in the morning and I smile when I go to bed at night" it warmed my heart. Such joy! When I'm feeling blue I repeat those words to myself. There is NO couple I have ever seen who can bring to the dance floor the MAGIC that you do. As a performer, myself, old standup comedian, who is still quarantined ...thank you for the sheer joy your dancing has provided. And if you choose to respond with a personal note...it would make my day!

I enjoyed your competition. You are the best. Your choreography and timing is excellent. It has been a bummer with covid cancelling so many events. Tanya is a beautiful woman and Sondre is a handsome fella. If I was 60 years younger I would be in love with Tanya. What is your personal relationship with each other. You two look like a perfect couple and look like you are enjoying performing together. Again your dancing is like perfect timing and your choreography is exciting.

Hello Bob :) thank you for being here and for giving your time and energy to us 🥰 Our relations are pretty funny - we are a dancing couple, working together and being friends, which makes it hard sometimes, because if we fight on the practice we are sort of “fighting” as friends too. Mostly we manage to solve all issues and keep it cool 🤩

I love watching you both dance. When I was younger I loved to dance the way you do but it was difficult to find a partner who was on the same wave as I was. I got dropped more often than I like to admit to. LOL But it was fun so I kept trying. Now I am to old (73) to try to dance like that but I love to watch you two. Best couple I’ve seen doing it. Tanya is a lovely girl with a very flexible body & is a very talented follower who anticipates + indicates all the lovely moves she’s taken through. Sondre looks like a very nice guy is very fast , very strong & a very clever lead with full of tricks who fully compliments Tanya. Together they makes an unmatchable couple. I enjoy all your videos from Sri Lanka. Love to see you live. 👍

Hey, I truly liked this question and answer video. It gave me a time to hear you close up as if I was right there with you. As for the type of dancing as being the old Jitterbug the answer is yes sort of but no one can truly put a name on it because it depends on what part of the country a person lives. In the U.S. it was known as the Jitterbug across the nation but when the music changed so did the name of the dance. For instance in the north east we call the soft drink Soda and in the south east they call it Pop and we call a large sandwich with all kinds of fillings, Hoagie (some say Hoggy) but in the south they call it a Submarine. ( or boat) and there is more but too much to go into. Hey, Tanya, your roots are showing, ( LOL ) what happened to that Golden hair? That's ok your still beautiful and so is your dancing. You two I must say are tops I truly like your choreography, it is all the dance styles wrapped up into one Boogie Woogie. Keep safe.

Hi guys, great video and the extra editing time was definitely worth it. ;) As a West Coast Swing dancer my favorite video of Tanya is of course the one where she dances a crossover Jack&Jill with Ben Morris. ;) So for next Q&A I'd like to know: How do you feel about West Coast Swing and would you like to see more crossover events between West Coast Swing and traditional swing dances?

Loved the video. Hearing your voices and your answers to questions makes your fans feel closer to you. I do have one question towards the end of the video Sondre you made a comment that in both of your state of mind you would like to compete for one more year. Is that a signal that you both are considering it might be time to stop competing?
We are thinking of the future… and also for the future of the competitions in general. Many countries aren’t able to take part because of the restrictions and it isn’t good to wait forever. So we are considering many ways of development… Not only competitions. Time will show 🥰

I didn't ask the question, but was interested in knowing about that once I figured out awhile ago that boogie woogie was more European. Anyway, in a future video, I would be interested in knowing about the different competition levels/types - like world cup, world champion, jack and jill, etc. And also, within each competition, how many levels do you have to go through before reaching the finals. You know being good friends can lead into a very good relationship!! I know, I have been married to my best friend now for almost 44 years!! I have always wished he liked dancing!! @@normacollins3844 Hi Norma, This is actually Nancy Nichols, from Rochester, NY. I got a notice about your comment in my email, since you actually replied to my comment. I'm not sure when Sondre and Tanya will see what you wrote. I can answer your question though, since they've answered it publicly in the past. They are not dating. They are just good friends and dance partners. Many of us would like for them to date, but they are quite adamant against doing that. Who knows, maybe sometime in the future that could change, but at this point they think they would end up killing each other if they were in a closer relationship. I guess their personalities clash a bit, from things they have said. Tanya actually went through a divorce about 1 1/2 hrs ago, which she wrote recently that she has recovered from, and is content and happy now. So that's pretty much what they've shared about that. When we see them together, they look and act like they could be married, and many have asked them in the comments if they are, so they've answered the question from time to time.

Come to Woodburn, Oregon, USA. Majority of people are Mexican and Hispanic. Minority are Ukrainian and Russian. Both languages spoken here. Then there are the French too that came here 2 centuries ago.

Many dancers are using keds too. Tanya also does it sometimes for the classes or parties, but keds are too heavy and stiff and are “killing” the foot in case of tricks and fast tempo competitions. Keds are ok for very very slippery floors 😜

Im British and my partner Domi is polish and is from Zamosc in south east poland , ws are due to get married next year in her home town in April, very exciting. But I can't dance , at all . Domi can a little but its fair to say our first dance will be a disaster, can you help or offer any advice please , I would be so grateful.
