  • James Rotondi demos the Gibson G-45 Studio.
    Right out of the box, the G-45 Studio feels like a well-worn pair of jeans or a favorite coffee mug-which is to say, there’s very little between you and your next song, riff, or single-note line.
    At $999 street, including hardshell case, Gibson’s G-45 Studio (and likewise, the $1,299 G-45 Standard) represents a very good-faith effort to bring a handcrafted, solid-wood, U.S.-made acoustic guitar to the market that sounds great, looks lovely, feels good and inspiring to play, and records beautifully. Gibson has succeeded mightily. The G-45 Studio may well be exactly the kind of acoustic guitar you want to have within reach at all times.

    No idea who this guy is, but he just did one of the most thorough and enjoyable "players" reviews of this guitar. I've been watching gear reviews for years and never have I been so compelled to buy something. Well done mate. And a stunning guitar, sonically, for the price. Shocking actually. 🤙🏼💯

    I played one today. One of the most comfortable acoustics I've ever played. I couldn't put it down. My strumming hand actually bled....not a joke. They are a bit different than a J45 or 50. Certainly not nearly as thumpy. Great guitar.

    This is my #1 choice for all around live n studio instrument. Just wish it had scalloped bracing. Was even thinking of doing it myself. Lol. Just opens up the sound even more. A large part if wat makes this guitar sound so crisp is the walnut fretboard.

    I've had mine for a couple of months now. Great guitar. It has a lot more bottom than I had anticipated. The case is nice, too. A lot of instrument for the money. Kudos to Gibson for making an all-wood acoustic that us poor folk can afford!

    I own G-45 Studio. I think Gibson realize these guitars are too value for the money, and they discontinued it. Now, they sell this new G-45 with playerport, but the buid material quality is not so good as the original G-45 Studio/Standard. Also, the new G-45 have no pickup at all, no binding, and they provide gigbag instead hardshell case. I upgrade my guitar with LR Baggs Anthem, bone saddle and pins, and redwood arm rest. With these upgrades my G-45 Studio is almost the same guitar as J-45 Studio Walnut. Maybe even better because of Anthem. But for half of the price 😬 I was so lucky because I had a chance to buy one of the last G-45 Studio in Europe 2 years ago.

      Yes,..If you dont like the way it plays,..its biodegradable.
      You can also grow plants on it or in it.
      It could possibly move spontaneously on its own, due to its organic nature or it may die without warning.

    not a lot of tone that I could use. Sounds like a simple guitar for simple strumming. I do not call this rich full tone. I call J 45 Rosewood that. but I realize the 1000$ price increase for the 25% better tone. reducing returns .

    • @gillesnazareth752
      @gillesnazareth752 4 года назад

      The audio recording doesn't help. In other videos about this guitar i think it sounds richer. I agree with you it is a simple guitar. But still a simple guitar capable of most gigs. It sounds great on an amplifier. Gets even more fullness.

  • @garyives1218

    It's not just my opinion. I've seen many others comment as well. Fishman Sonitone sucks ass! Can't believe they spec this with a $20 pick up found on $300 guitars. I wouldn't even consider a $300 guitar with one of those atrocious sounding things.

      ttdrums1972 that one is $1300, I'd rather pay a little extra and get a Martin D-16E Sitka/Rosewood, or save $200 off the Gibson in this vid and get a Martin D-10E, both Martins have lots of bass and scooped mids

    • @garrettramsey643
      @garrettramsey643 4 года назад

      Charles Patrick but then you have no mids. Gibson’s typically fit a good midrange between a Martin and Taylor.
