I really appreciate when you review the crazy stuff like this. Yeah, yeah, all the voices of “that costs so much” or “nobody needs this,” etc. It’s really fun seeing this stuff that otherwise I’d never have an idea what it’s actually like/will never get my hands on. I like the variety.
Great vids.
Cheers.
I totally agree. These videos are fun and this is the best place to see shit I’ll never afford or get. They produce reviews of practical things too! We can have both!
I see more potential for injury with a gimmick like that than without.
Yea the amount of times he's said... you "can" get in trouble or get hurt or have them slip out or technically could potentially fly out...
The chance of injury kicking up heavy dumbells for shoulder presses is probably higher.
@richards6431 I guess I'm lucky because I've been doing that for almost 40 years
@@dh12. Good on ya. Thats thats best way to do it.
@@dh12.bull sh*tter 😂😅
These db racks in theory look awesome but are actually more awkward than just kicking dbs into position...
People say that about Coop. Looks awesome but actually awkward.
That's my exact thoughts as I was watching Coop's demo. Never used them before, and probably never will.
They’re actually more awkward? Have you actually used it. I think not.
They do appear more awkward to me as well. Yanking the dumbbells out of the cradles to do dumbbell bench presses looks like a shoulder injury waiting to happen.
@@zdoubleyou2073 yes I have used full size far nicer versions that are far nicer and still more awkward ...there is a reason they aren't a thing. They are total garbage
The profit margins must be insane on these
more affiliate revenue lol
I'm not sure that you've ever paid to have something like this custom fabricated...
For the price and what they do, I'm not too impressed with this. Just can't see myself spending over $500 on a one trick pony piece of equipment that isn't even a machine.
Price is relevant. This is well priced and better quality than likely any piece most people own. They’re made by oak club. They’re expensive for a reason. Quality.
@@zdoubleyou2073 I’ll wait for more reviews after people have used it for an extended period. It seems gimmicky and unnecessary. I've already identified several potential injury risks with it. People are free to spend their money on whatever they believe is "quality." I’ve definitely bought things I was nervous to tell my wife about lolol.. but this is a hard pass for most of us. That said, I did enjoy the video.
Looks like the Get Rxd Tornado rack/smith machine in the background. Is a review coming?
For everyone asking about the rx3 tornado, I have the wall-mounted version & I have been really enjoying it since the end of November. Gluck's Gym does a good review on it if you haven't seen it. I am curious to see what Coop has to say about it though. 🤔
Coop, I see your using the Rx3 Tornado rack. When will you review????
That setup at around 7:30 with the "momentum drop" seems kinda more dangerous to me than setting them up with your tighs.
Have to really wonder why these type of holders went away before.
Oak Club is a joke - they price their stuff as if they are the leading brand in home gym equipment and then tack on another 25% to price just for good measure lol
We're all thinking it.. Looks like we're gonna have some legit "controlled" dumbbell drops with these now whooooo
Awesome Coop. Didn't Sorinex make a bench with a similar mechanism around 10 years ago? Black Widow Training Gear makes a horizontal dumbbell tray (for a rack) it would be interesting to have both and see which one is better for which lifts. $1K for two sets of dumbbell trays - will have to figure out how to hide these from the misses. These Oak Club cradles look killer
I've seen people use loadable olympic dumbbells with ratchet straps as a spotting system. I think that's a much better way to do vertical presses, they're basically squat safety straps but for dumbbells
Wow what a great idea
Mad spotter arms, they’re like $70, and they work and rack similar to a barbell. Rated up to 250 lbs per hook, I’ve used them for 105 and haven’t had an issue
$535 before shipping? I know that is overbuilt but holy shit that is crazy for something that doesn't look fully baked due to potentially still seeing a chance of injury with this.
Need two MagPins too and they are $89 a piece. Shipping to me is $92. It would be $807 for me to buy this with two MagPins shipped.
Crazy overpriced 😂
@@markhalstead2386 People spending on this better be DB benching like 120 per side.
Looking forward to that tornado arm rack review! Could you touch on the knurling on the smith bar and pull up bar? Was also wondering about the weight horns and how they felt.
Did Coop just recommend selling Powerblocks and getting “a better” dumbbell? After recommending them for years he’s finally conceded.
You mentioned storing the dumbells if the Dons were flat, what about Oak Club's dumbbell trays? Would love to see a review on Oak Club's storage including their dumbbell trays, oak tree and baskets!
I can see these helping during decline and incline DB workouts.
Enough hate on loadable dumbbells, they rock. Also, those seem really cumbersome to set up every time I want to use them, so even if I had them, i'd probably never use them.
Preach! Love my spin locks. I have a few hundred pounds of standard plates, bought when they were $1 a pound or less. Three sets of handles. Work great. I use washers from the hardware store to pad out the plates so they are even with the top of the threaded rod so they don't hurt you legs getting them into position.
For any experienced lifter, we can recognize how wildly dangerous these are. The way coop is showing you to let the weight basically fall onto you is going to get someone hurt.
Strong grip, strong lift.
I'm a fan of kicking them up as I lay down and then putting them up on my hips to sit up when done.
This is just a great ploy to bait novice home gym hobbiest.
Titan has dumbbell cradles for $150 that get the job done. The start point for the lift and overall safety factor for use seem better, as well.
Hey Coop, any chance we'll see a review of any of the following?
- Altas or Kingsmith Leg Extension/Curl machine. Seem similar to the new RitFit & Lionscool options with cable + cam mechanism for a better resistance profile but I think these look a little nicer/better.
- Gear for Fit Freestanding Leg Extension/Curl attachment. Cool compact option that works with almost any bench and has a decent resistance profile!
- RitKeep Thunderbolt A10 Leg Press & Hack Squat combo. Unique features like large foot plate, lots of adjustment, and good weight capacity makes it seems like one of the best options around $1K!
- Synergee Wing Back bench. Solid value bench with standard premium design for way less than most other comparables.
- Eonfit Power Rack. Unique affordable/budget option with pivoting arms for the cable system similar to that GetRX'd RX3 Tornado in the background!
looks like something that would show up on an infomercial at 2am. These are crazy expensive and can find better ways to spend that money on my gym. For me at least, the whole point of buying accessories like these is to make my lifting easier and more streamline. This just looks like a expensive added headache
Hey Coop. How will those work wjth the Watson dumbbells?
Coop being modest and not shoulder pressing 120 was a nice move for us viewers
I have an unhealthy obsession with Oak Club
Just do the tornado review please
I want to start a list of all home gym equipment I see and keep it ordered by priority. It would be fun to see where stuff like this ranks
Can you do some reviews on strongman equipment?
Coop, do you plan to review the new smart arm attachment that works with Prime's shorty bench?
Can you tell me the size of REP rack tube in mm. Thank you
75 x 75
@markhalstead2386 I want to buy Ares 2.0 do you think i make good choice
@@georgipopov877 I have Ares 2.0 and love it. If you don’t have space for a functional trainer, Ares 2.0 is great. Dual Athenas and the lat pulldown/low row are more money, but also great.
I was planning to splurge for the Atlantis incline db pivot bench but it takes up a lot of space for one movement. These are bougie but as someone with a back injury, I don’t want to risk laying down with tons of weight in my hands. I think these are a pretty reasonable compromise. The price is luxury but not commercial gym level. I do wish they’d offer a bigger cup size for DBs over 100-120 but realistically I am not there for incline, only maybe for regular bench so not an issue if we agree the sweet spot for this is more incline and shoulder press
Thanks Coop!
i love the slamming, you are awesome..
Please review the Tut Trainer?
WHEN PRIME SMART ARM REVIEWWWWWWWWWWWWW
Coop, have you seen the body solid 3x3 rack from fitness factory? It’s on sale for $400 and probably the cheapest 3x3 11 gauge steel 1 inch hole power rack I’ve seen.
How many scratches have you found on those reppins after this video? I bet there were a lot...
The don and ADB from oak club are a dream.
$537 and we still have to buy MagPins at around $89 and shipping to me is $92 for a total of $807, which is a BIG no from me. Mad Spotter is a fraction of the money. A Rogue Kabuki Transformer Bar is more useful for the same money shipped. I would really like to see a comparison with Black Widow's Dumbbell spotters.
most people won't injure themselves on getting the dumbbell in position since they are not strong enough to do so even if they try
Wouldn’t be safer to bench with one dumbbell at a time? Your free hand is the spotter.
And you’re working your core harder with one armed bench presses.
I would prefer SpotGrip in that price range.
What could go wrong?
Coop, love you but I need the budget fitness from stepmaster review buddy. That video will be FIRE. And also very appreciated.
I really only think they’re an improvement over the traditional method for incline or shoulder press - all the videos I saw of them for normal bench, you ended up with the DB’s at the bottom of the movement anyway. I was really keen on them when I first saw them but I think the idea is better in theory than in practice.
Maybe I need to see it more in action, but I do not see that being safe for bench press. If you’re gassed at the end of your set on heavy presses, the last thing you’ll be able to do is stress your shoulders by reaching forward to rack the dumbbells. It just seems like it’s a rotator cuff injury waiting to happen.
We want iron grip Barbell review
Better buy them before the price goes up 25%
Better not buy them.
48 seconds no views coop fell off
will you take this over spotgrips?
I've used Atlantis db breakers and other bougie systems and vastly prefer spot grips. There's a learning curve but it's so much better
Yeah, these seems like a nice idea on paper, but not nearly as good in practice. Shoulder press was probably the best use here
This has catastrophic injury written all over it when you think you’re placing a heavy set of dumbbells in the cradle correctly but you miss
MAN if l have all this equipment like you l would look like ronnie coleman
do you even lift or you just talk abaut it?
you dont look like you lift bro
hehe
Coop, dont lift comeon guys? he just make youtube for money)
Coop lift the same time in years like me? look at my picture and look at Coop
he lie abaut it he dont lift
Coop is like a colllector
he collect not use)
Coop, take your tshirt off show us that muscle you build for 15 years)
Dumbbell spotters are the ultimate solution looking for a problem. The whole idea of them is offensive to me.
They look awkward when racking / unracking, but would be curious to see what they feel like.
Perfect for Incline Press.
Unsafe if kids allowed in your gym
Honestly doesn't even seem more comfortable getting into position.
You should do a review on the 75 dollar cap Barbell squat adjustable rack. It's an amazing sleeper build
My dream review list for you:
REPXPeppin Fats Series Adjustable Dumbbells
Sorniex Outfitter Rack
Sorinex Diamond Bar
Sorinex Training Bumpers & Milspec Bumpers
Rogue Westside Power Bar
Nordbench
Fringe Sport Falcon Adjustable Bench
those Canadian tariffs gonna hit hard here.. lol..
Just get rid of my 90lb power blocks and spend 1k on new dumbbells...
Looks like it would be great but probably not so great in practice. At that price point that’s a lot for something that will probably be awkward and unsafe
Pricing is rough for a home gym.
Honestly, these are one of those totally unnecessary gimmicks that companies come up with knowing the people 100% under the home gym spell will buy and the people who are 75% under the home gym spell will probably buy, then the 50%'s might buy, the 25%'s could buy, and so on.
Cannot blame a company for coming up with a new idea and new product or coming up with a new product based off an old idea.
The demand for this is close to zero so there will probably only be a few produced and then this piece becomes a novelty.
End result is if you have throw away money then get this piece and if you don't then wave bye, bye..
Take Care
at 8:00 that sure didn't seem safe or seamless
$729....so crazy
With the price and function it seems super niche.
This look cool but it looks like a pain store. Mad spotter hooks work so much better and it's super easy to store
I’m not sure about this. Looks too complicated for an old jarhead.
$536 dollars? Are you f--king kidding me?
That is before $92 shipping and two MagPins at $89 each.
how to start your own business gym can you show me I need the help Please
Interesting product. Expensive, but interesting! This is an expensive exercise tool that I will actually consider buying.
You should do a review of the flybird adjustable weigh bench with leg extension attachment
Ive bought a few dumbbell accessories to help with benching. They're all awkward and i never use them.
Most people have dumbbell stands
I don't like it. It really only looks "safe" when you were sitting and grabbed them to lift up. All other exercises looked like an accident waiting to happen.
Iron masters?
these just look like a shoulder injury waiting to happen
wouldn't use these for heavy dumbbells for reracking or even the starting poisition which leads to injury. if these are use for lighter dumbbells then there's no point because you can spot yourself without spotters for lighter dumbbells. The worst position in bench press position 😂 coop you tired to make it look safe but you know it's not at all.
I have the reppins and use a cap barbell rack that fits the two grooves perfectly. These look like an accident waiting to happen. How awkward if you miss out of extreme fatigue. Hard pass.great review though.
The Rogue adjustable bench pad does not look comfortable
I must have this
Why review this gimmicky trash no one will buy instead of the Get Rx’d tornado rack everyone is waiting for? C’mon, COOP!
oh noooo made in Canada! hahahahah!!!
You make the claim you could lift safer with these. Bad take, it fear mongers for no reason, and no reason to actually think it’s safer. Convenient, maybe.
I don’t need it for my 4 post ares 2.0
Seems it’ll just take space and money
These seem dangerous af lol. They need to have a lock on them when back in the cradle. Seems to easy for someone to bump into them and hurt someone. Honestly dont see a point for these. Looks awkward and dangerous when getting into the bench position lol. You shouldnt even be doing max out sets or low ass reps on dumbbell bench or shoulder press anyways. Hard pass for me. I have no trouble getting into position with heavy dumbbells. Gimmick forsure. Loading and unloading this with heavy dumbbells will be more work then just getting them up the old fashioned way 😂
The weight capacity on these suck. They max out at 120#. Kind of defeats the purpose of being able to use really heavy dumbbells when it only starts to actually be heavy.
Ok Arnie
My thoughts exactly, basically need help kicking stuff up on shoulder press and incline around 120lbs. I was hoping this would be an option for heavy lifting but guess not.
@@DrFearCo I’m no Arnold. He hates freedom, and I love it.?
@@Clownlife432Arnold is great bro
Nah these are a bad product. Dumbbell press doesn’t work, not safe, and if you fail the lift you ain’t reracking it. For shoulder press it’s still at an awkward angle to set them back in. Your hand is in its weakest orientation pushing the weight forward. Nah and for $500 heck no
Yeah aren't these dumbell rack setups usually behind the bench rather than in front?
Honestly looks like Mad Spotters / Spotter Hooks would be better than this overbuilt, overpriced import.
Spot grips beat all of these
Seems better for incline and shoulder press.
Super awkward product.
That is kinda pointless honestly, skip.
No thanks. 😅
WOW. Our grandpas would be so disappointed in us for stuff like this
Fart? 7:46
100% yes. You can tell by the “ahhh” immediately afterwards.
Why do the bougie pieces only 1% of us can afford get a dedicated video but cheap alternatives that we are actually buying gets a compilation one such as in your amazon gym video. Just feels like you've lost connection with your fan base and instead are just shilling out for your favorite sellers...
He's covered mad spotters.
GOTTA HAVE THIS
