This video (and others like it) make me a lot more confident that, if flown properly, you can exceed the aerobatic weight limit for the RV6. I REALLY want to do aerobatics with my passengers but can’t justify the price of the RV7 (also, the RV6 track record implies that it’s the stronger design). Looks like you never pulled more than 3 G’s on those maneuvers!
All that fun while inspiring others to get licensed, well done🍺I helped build a 7 and a 6 and learned basic aerobatics in them what great memories. Awesome video!
My dad has a luscombe, a cub, and a citabria. I am 16 and want to get my pilots licence. My dad used to take me out doing aerobatics in the citabria but sadly had an aortic dissection and nearly died. The FAA actually doesn't include this as a heart problem so legally he is allowed to fly. I really want to get an RV6 and we are hoping to sell at least the luscombe.
He took off from Revelstoke, BC ( CYRV ) 50°57′44″N 118°11′04″W , It is nice airport for some practice & enjoying Rocky Mountains ruclips.net/video/D6qjQSX109w/видео.html
Fact: The tallest spire in the Bugaboos is 11 194’. Fact: I was below this peak (as shown in the video). Fact: My video production skills are not strong enough to create a fake of this caliber. Fact: You are correct, we are not using oxygen.
There are old pilots & bold pilots, but rarely old, bold pilots. Performing mountain aerobatics with a passenger in an amateur built aircraft not rated for aerobatics is poor airmanship.
My RV6 is rated for aerobatics. As far as the rest, each individual has their own skills, comfort levels, and risk tolerance. I stayed within mine, and loved every minute of it while living my life to the fullest. This is what makes me go to bed at the end of the day completely fulfilled. Many people would not be comfortable in these situations, and I would not want such individuals to put themselves in a situation where they do not feel safe or competent.
Several points. 1. The term mountain aerobatics isn’t “a thing”, the only concern is terrain clearance and off field landing options with lose of thrust. 2. These maneuvers are well within the six g limit of this aircraft, they only pulled 2.5 to 3.0 Gs. 3. Some countries require parachutes for passengers during aerobatics, even for experienced skydivers it’s fairly difficult to undo your seat belt, clear your headset, jettison the canopy, clear the empennage and aircraft before deployment. They are more to satisfy the regulations.
Most speakers and phones have a volume button. If it’s a luxury setup you might even find a mute button:) I would never want to force you to listen to “stupid music” if you didn’t want to.
You have no idea, I come back and watch this video at least once a day..this is what keeps me driven to get my pilots license. Thank you for that sir!
Seriously the best RV footage on YT! The smoke rolls coming over those ridge lines is just too killer! Well done!

Absolutely stunning! I think BC gives Scotland a run for its money with its beauty haha!
Epic video. Sure wish south Texas looked like that.
Never get tired of watching this video!

Well flown. Well filmed.
Nice edit and beautiful RV6!
That was epic, really good editing job.
love that vid! Super shots and edit, thanks. Similar playground here (Swiss Alps) with same RV...
Excellent edit/video and bird!
Great flight and great editing!
Incredible video. I can't believe a kit airplane can climb out with 2 people like that.
Ok, back into the shop (Working on my RV14 cowling), thanx for sharing!

I rarely comment on videos, but this was very impressive!
Very nicely done Sir!
Dude, awesome. I almost got an RV a while back...might have to reconsider!

Awesome video ! You deserve more subs ! Keep it up, i'd love to fly with you haha !
Is there a red dot on your plane? If not the widow needs one.

Great video. Alright until you have an engine failure or partial failure.
What the background on your tail number? ;)
Fuckeneh! It's how we say it in Canada.
Alright my friend you got me!- fellow BC Pilot, RV-7 Builder, CYSE is home and we play in the mountains as well. Come Visit!
I'll have to head over that direction one of these days!
Great Video! Im stoked again! Wheres your home aerodrome?
Siiiiiiick
Do you ever compete in aerobatics?
Hey Tom, I have not. Perhaps once I have an aircraft with inverted systems.
what airport is that

I hate to say it but... I don't think it's real. They're well over 13,000 and they're not using oxygen.

Disliked for stupid music.
