As someone fresh out of college in the early 90s, I remember the trauma and the angst I and other Indians felt when we had to send our gold abroad to the IMF to secure a loan. He is spot on. Pakistan is drowning fast. The government needs to cutback government and military spending. Give foreign investment incentives and foreign property ownership. Legalize and tax alcohol - people are drinking it for cheap as there is no tax. This will generate a lot of revenue - as it does in the UAE and other countries.
Investment will come where there is safety, security, justice, policing, civility etc. Where an investor cannot feel cheated and insecure.

My mother is Pakistani but we were born and bought up in England but have a close connection with Pakistan. It is so sad and painful to see the state that this crazy government has put it in. The single national curriculum is a failed UK policy being tried out by your failed Oxford graduate. We are also currently suffering at the hands of our own failed Oxford graduate!!!
