Psalm 2 (King David) Arrangement by Christian Michael Jung

Over 20 years ago, my brother Phil and I began to write music and melody lines to a couple of Psalms from the Bible, and called it, "The Psalms Project."

Today, we decided to pick up where we left off, and as a family, with our children and siblings, are going to write music and melody lines for all 150 Psalms, and record and release them under the name, "The Psalms Project."
.
Thousands of years ago, King David, Asaph and the other Psalmists wrote beautiful and honest poetry that brought glory and honor to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Today, we would love to contextualize these very Psalms into modern music and melodies, in hopes to bless the body of Christ and touch our heavenly Father's heart.

I had started writing the music and melody line for the first verse and chorus to Psalm 2 over 29 years ago, but today finished the second verse, bridge and outro. I thought finishing the arrangement to this Psalm in particular was timely in the current political climate that we find ourselves in here in the U.S. and in the entire world.
