The only reason why Ryback push failed because he was pushed back in the mid card status and having him pairing up with Curtis Axel As Rybaxel and then after that he was apart of John Cena’s Team At Survivor Series 14 and after that he became the IC Champ In 2015 he didn’t have the title for that long until losing it to Kevin Owen At Night Of Champions 2015 following that he was booked to be put on jobbing matches
I heard the reason ryback lost the ic title in 2015 was because he didn’t renew his contract and mr McMahon made him regret resulting not him leavening but changing his attire and putting over kalisto
vince wasn't a fan of shayna baszler because he didn't like that her in ring work played more into her character as being a no nonsense let my work do the talking type of badass because it didn't fit the wwe narrative of being focused on being character driven instead of match quality. pretty much you could say he had that same reason for asuka & maybe nikki cross as well
I heard once that Billy Gunn wasn't even who WWE wanted to win that King of the Ring, It was supposed to be either Big Show or X-Pac but for one reason or another neither Show nor Pac were given that win and it was given to Gunn so it seems like WWE didn't even want to push him in the first place.
@@jetla22 From what I can assume WWE didn't want to push Gunn at all they more then likely wanted him as a tag guy and they went with him as a "well he's an option just not an option we would want" sort of thing.
X Pac? That's Worse. Noone Would've Bought X Pac As King Of The Ring. That Would've Been The Beginning Of The WWE Indy Era. They Always Had Ot In Them To Cater To The Smarks. X Pac Even Had Main Event Matches.
Jack Swagger could have become a very solid upper midcard star and a valuable addition to staples as an enforcer, but because WWE pushed him to become champion and then burried him down back to lower card fans just weren't able to take him serious again in WWE.
I remember saying it when they subbed Ryback into the main event against punk when Cena got hurt that wasn't ready. I said it that they were in a lose lose situation. Either A) he loses and ruin what they were building up or B) He wins then proves he wasn't ready through mic work and in ring work. Then the WWE choose option C losing by DQ multiple times didn't do him any good either.
Usually when I watch these type of videos I don't laugh however I laughed because I could only imagine what Vincent's reaction was when maple performed that drop on Nash 😂
No Jinder Mahal in the list, or Great Kali. One reason is almost cruel, not pushing Billy Gunn, because he can't match the Rocks microphome skills is really hard, because nobody can do this.
Shortly after almost crippling Diesel Mabel delivered multiple leg drops to Undertaker's head which is why Undertaker wore the Phantom of the Opera mask and Vince fired Mabel. I never understood the Kozlov push even as a monster you could tell he was a charisma vuccuum although he did a pretty good job with Santino.

In RR 2013 enter number 1 and was in the final four. Wins the WHC in raw after Wrestlemania 2013. All this for be in a mixed tag team match at Summerslam 2013.
I think Triple H did the right thing in halting Theory’s push for now. He just wasn’t ready for what was given to him and needed more serious character work for him to be credible. I really think he could be a huge star, but he needed to stop that selfie gimmick and take it seriously. And I’m happy that he has.
You guys need to do a follow up to this "Wrestlers WWE pushed to to the moon with no regrets but should have" I am sure most people can think of at least 5. Some were already talked about in the comments.
Personally speaking I think Theory is in a MUCH better position with the US Title and no money in the bank brief case. The way I see it, even if it was planned for Theory to cash in at Wargames this year or even at the rumble in a month it wouldn’t have mattered: Roman is too powerful and getting any of his two belts off him would have to be an act of god, or rather, an act of The Game. And we all know that wasn’t gonna happen. But I like currently where Theory is going with the title as I think Triple H finally knows writing wise what to do with him. Now I’ll have to wait till next Monday and the one after to be sure, but what Theory said on on the RAW before last nights: “I ain’t your damn kid.” Remember that for later 🧐
Theory and Riddle are the future. Also the only thing that it would take to get the belts and even just one of them off of Roman Reigns would be an act of Zayn tbh.
i am so mad shayna never got her push she really deserved. she’s incredibly talented and charismatic and her character was never used to her full potential
Running theme here, is that Vince pushed most of these guys on size alone not skill and not talent. Ironically, Theory is the only guy that does not fit that theme and Triple H killed his push.
The argument could be made that Theory has a new, and possibly bigger, push than before….a RE-PUSH, if you will. I think they just wanted to shake the stink of Vince off of Theory so they could make him even better.

kinda have to forgive the Austin Theory "regret". Vince was known for booking himself into nonsensible corners before his scandal surfaced. HHH needed to reboot Theory, and the MITB briefcase would have held that back as it was still tying Theory to Vince, giving him no future. Now Theory's star looks bright and he is on a path to greater things than Vince had planned
I really wish that Wrestlamia would focus more on all wrestling then just WWE. Its rather disappointing that this channel still refuses to look at mostly the WWE and the occasional AEW....everything else is just lost.
Other then the feud with Kane, the only thing I remember about Snitsky was how he got demolished by a grumpy Undertaker. Poor booking choices ruined their momentum for the most part. So instead of the WWE looking how they can put things back on track to build these superstars back up, the WWE just gave up on them.
Vince does that a lot. It was looking good once Hunter was in charge but now Vince is forcing himself back into the company
Theory’s change of character was a genius move by HHH. Got rid of that stupid selfie gimmick and became an aggressive, enraged heel and it’s working! He’s getting heel heat and often cheers and now a 2x United States Champion while feuding with Rollins and Lashley. He’s getting over slowly right now and I hope it stays that way. I want to see Theory in the main event scene soon. He has the looks and the heel attitude to be a damn good world champion
I want to see him in the main event scene but not soon there’s other superstars who deserve a world title more *cough* Drew but anyone other than that I agree I use to hate him he annoyed wasn’t a good now with this new thing he’s growing on me hopefully that finisher of his changes

Didn't they turn him back into a monster with brown teeth?

He was always a joke don't remember any fans watching raw for him outside of that feud with Kane which lasted like two weeks

Enzo was the first one to come to mind for me lol
Enzo had the mic work to be an amazing mid card heel
You forgot Jason Jordan,
Jinder Mahal and The great Khali
Was anybody surprised WWE didn't try to salvage Lex Luger's failed face push by having him turn heel the day after Wrestlemania X and challenge Bret Hart for the world title? I think this would have been an interesting feud for Bret while Owen was still being built up for his storyline with Bret over the summer.
I would have had Lex Luger v Yokozuna one-on-one at WMX.
Bret didn't need to be included. He already had a match with Owen that night.
Snitskt was cool! He really scared me shitless with the miscarriage angle. Theory DESERVES A PUSH! He's got the look and potential. Everyone just hates him because he's VKM's annointed one. Hey, if Drew McIntyre would get his moment, Theory should
People don't like him because he is bland as hell. There's nothing to him, he's boring

The only reason why
Ryback push failed because he was pushed back in the mid card status and having him pairing up with Curtis Axel As Rybaxel and then after that he was apart of John Cena’s Team At Survivor Series 14 and after that he became the IC Champ In 2015 he didn’t have the title for that long until losing it to Kevin Owen At Night Of Champions 2015 following that he was booked to be put on jobbing matches

vince wasn't a fan of shayna baszler because he didn't like that her in ring work played more into her character as being a no nonsense let my work do the talking type of badass because it didn't fit the wwe narrative of being focused on being character driven instead of match quality. pretty much you could say he had that same reason for asuka & maybe nikki cross as well
He didn't like her because she isn't "hot"...🤣🤣
this is entertainment after all, character work is as important as ring work.
Couldn't have why pair him with The Rock immediately after? It made no sense.
Rumor is that The Rock didn't even want to work with Gunn, plus that promo he cut pretty much erased any chance for Gunn to be taken seriously.

@Brennen Wasson I blame CM Punk and his whining bullshit
Jack Swagger could have become a very solid upper midcard star and a valuable addition to staples as an enforcer, but because WWE pushed him to become champion and then burried him down back to lower card fans just weren't able to take him serious again in WWE.
The fact he had a lisp didn't help.
@@dhenderson1810 Yeah - Plus they gave him the name swagger which exposed the lisp.
He’s a spit talker, he was never going far lol
Getting Screwed out of the MitB saved Theory's career. I like his work since then.
I remember saying it when they subbed Ryback into the main event against punk when Cena got hurt that wasn't ready. I said it that they were in a lose lose situation. Either A) he loses and ruin what they were building up or B) He wins then proves he wasn't ready through mic work and in ring work. Then the WWE choose option C losing by DQ multiple times didn't do him any good either.
i'd just like to remind everyone that Kozlov went on camera twice before his debut and repeatedly called wwe "DOUBLE DOUBLE EEEEEEE"

Vince wouldn't regret pushing Jinder, given all the money he made from the Indian market.
Shortly after almost crippling Diesel Mabel delivered multiple leg drops to Undertaker's head which is why Undertaker wore the Phantom of the Opera mask and Vince fired Mabel. Me: CHRIS BENOIT
Im kinda glad, that she gets a new push now. I think she and Ronda Rousey are a good duo.
A mention to Dolph Zigller the guy won the Money in the bank 2012,
In SS 2012 he as the last survivor of his team, eliminating Orton by last.
Main event TLC e wins against Cena.
In RR 2013 enter number 1 and was in the final four.
Wins the WHC in raw after Wrestlemania 2013.
All this for be in a mixed tag team match at Summerslam 2013.
The scariest thing about Snitsky was his butter 🧈 teeth
Hes part british
Messed up yellow teef comes with it
I think Triple H did the right thing in halting Theory’s push for now. He just wasn’t ready for what was given to him and needed more serious character work for him to be credible. I really think he could be a huge star, but he needed to stop that selfie gimmick and take it seriously. And I’m happy that he has.
Theory is 2009 Drew McIntyre. He’ll get there just not now. He’s got all the tools just needs to learn how to use them efficiently.
You guys need to do a follow up to this "Wrestlers WWE pushed to to the moon with no regrets but should have" I am sure most people can think of at least 5. Some were already talked about in the comments.
JBL. JBL made me stop watching
It's that what this list is tho
Ryback was a favorite of mine.
Dudes a head case, was awful.
He lose to Mark Henry clean

Personally speaking I think Theory is in a MUCH better position with the US Title and no money in the bank brief case. The way I see it, even if it was planned for Theory to cash in at Wargames this year or even at the rumble in a month it wouldn’t have mattered: Roman is too powerful and getting any of his two belts off him would have to be an act of god, or rather, an act of The Game. And we all know that wasn’t gonna happen. But I like currently where Theory is going with the title as I think Triple H finally knows writing wise what to do with him. Now I’ll have to wait till next Monday and the one after to be sure, but what Theory said on on the RAW before last nights: “I ain’t your damn kid.”
Remember that for later 🧐
Theory and Riddle are the future. Also the only thing that it would take to get the belts and even just one of them off of Roman Reigns would be an act of Zayn tbh.
Luger was far more over in the WCW, he should have stayed there after winning that title.
Do you mean w 6 w?
I was kinda expecting Alberto Del Rio to be on this list
i am so mad shayna never got her push she really deserved. she’s incredibly talented and charismatic and her character was never used to her full potential

Lex Luger also had a horrendous feud with Ludvig Borga, that stunk up a lot of house shows.
Fun fact I met Gene Snitsky and I dont mean in a wwe event but at his store
Running theme here, is that Vince pushed most of these guys on size alone not skill and not talent. Ironically, Theory is the only guy that does not fit that theme and Triple H killed his push.
The argument could be made that Theory has a new, and possibly bigger, push than before….a RE-PUSH, if you will. I think they just wanted to shake the stink of Vince off of Theory so they could make him even better.

I feel bad for Ryback & I definitely don’t understand why everything went the route that it did. Someone just really didn’t like him. 😵💫
Agree. Fans ate up the “Feed Me More!” act. It was a mistake turning him full heel; they could have made him a “tweener” like Chris Jericho who could ease seamlessly from face to heel back to face or just stay somewhere in the middle. Ryback deserved better.

HHH wasting Theorys cash in was easily his WORST decision yet
kinda have to forgive the Austin Theory "regret".
And now Austin is doing his best work to date.

Other then the feud with Kane, the only thing I remember about Snitsky was how he got demolished by a grumpy Undertaker. Back in the 2008 Royal Rumble, Taker got eliminated by HBK and Snitsky said to Taker "It's not my fault." And then Taker utterly destroyed him. I don't think I saw Snitsky in the ring ever again after that.
Theory is awesome it was just to early for him
honestly, i think the real reason that Vince didn't wanna push Shayna had nothing to do with her move set, i think its because she didn't have the right "look"
When I was a kid, Mabel actually struck fear in me. That's a good monster heel in my book 🤷♂️
