Iv been trying to catch a peacock bass myself. Been fishing the golden gate estates canals and Lehigh Acres canals with no luck.

Great video. I always remembered having more difficulties with the bass in the canals during the summer. The water temperature definitely caused the bass to slow down during those high heat days. The bite always tended to be greater in the evenings when the sun was setting. Usually a Texas rigged worm or lipless crank bait was my go to before switching it up to a top water.
