- Building a custom bumper for my hummer h2, This rear bumper has been a long time in the making i decided to create my own bumpers almost a year ago now, i purchased a new tig welder some sheet steel and a few other bits to complete the task. Funnily enough i haven't used any of it building this rear custom bumper, Move bumpers offer some very impressive kits for the DIY builder. In this video i show you how to build your very own steel bumper with only a welder, grinder, and a spirit level.

Looking good Rob , onwards and upwards.
Thanks Keith
Looks good Rob! If you move the bumper lights I’d put them in line with the tail lights, good idea to get rid of the stamped name too.
Thanks Chris
You’re right, why bust a gut when you can get a kit and put it together…👍🏻 is there not a rubber or similar seal to fit between the body and the bumper to close that gap up…?
Neat job. Got to do the front to match.
Ive got an 06 same color. Is there an option for the rear tire swingarm?
Looks good! Really annoying when you pay good money for something and they insist on still stamping their advertising on it. Especially in such an obtrusive way. Good on you for cutting it out!
Nice welding job Rob, another step closer to the final job, well done you mate.
And if you get a loft conversion job in Afghanistan you could easily pick up some Hummer spares, they've got loads over there. 😃
i cant imagine the dvla update form 😂 and the price bump on the insurance with all the updates. They are probably going to ask you to go to an authorised hammer garage or someone who is authorised to check on her and give you a full inspection report paper for you to send to the insurance, before they can insure you. Get her on the road already Rob!
Mate is there nothing you can't turn your hand too. Some top quality welding by the way. Top build pal keep it up
Thanks David
That looks great
Thanks
So close now!! Looking forward to seeing the end result! Will you be spraying the bumpers blue?
I sure will and the accents black
Rob have you looked at a cold welding machine
