If it wasn't for Tom I wouldn't be here today!! I met him in Toronto,Ontario on May 15th In the VIP lounge and I couldn't speak to him. I almost passed the f*** out. I wanted to tell him your music saved me.
Stay positive, guys. Shit might look bad or upsetting or not up to your standard now, but life has a weird way of working itself out for everyone, whatever the case.
Project SRZ Tom's gone crazy man. I love blink and AVA and all of this, but he's nuts. www.stereogum.com/1739136/tom-delonge-says-hes-had-contact-with-aliens-and-hes-in-danger-because-of-what-he-knows/news/
The thing with Tom is that no matter what piece of shit he composes, that little piece of shit will be loaded with tons of passion. Thats why you can´t hate his beautiful pieces of shit.
Dear Mr Tom DeLonge I hope one day you read this you are my friend, my savior, someone I can lean on, and I thank you for putting all your dedication into all your music despite of all the things that have happened to you. You are such a talented human being it's nuts! You are also such an inspiration to all no matter if you're a musician or not. Love ya man.
Tom is making me feel nostalgic with this music even though it's brand new. I guess it's just the feel of it. I love it, it takes me back to the I empire days. I love all of Tom's material no matter what band he is in. But this is really doing it for me.
I wish Tom would make more songs about real-life scenarios (i.e. Rite of Spring). These type of songs are absolutely killer and hit emotionally on another level.
hearing that bastardized new "blink" song made me go on a tirade through youtube listening to classic tom and it lead me to all this new solo/angels and airwaves stuff I never heard because I kind of lost touch with his music and im totally just falling back in love with it....this stuff as well as the new angels and airwaves probably was intended for a new blink album before they decided his style of writing wasn't as good as the used up pop punk riffs they are throwing around now
exactly. well in my opinion 50% of blink's sound was of tom, and everyone be saying like matt sings way better and all but honestly the imperfections in tom's live performance and that douchey accent are the things i use to hear, things i grew up to. i still like the new blink but tom alone can make a record just as good as - if not better than - the other 3 altogether. sorry for bad english lol
Thomas, There is no song that you have compossed that I hate. fucking love every fucking project that you have made, you are my inspiration and motivation making music. thanks.

I can not believe that I like every song that this man writes.
I love Blink-182 and I think what made them good were the different contrasts between Tom and Mark. listening to their different projects just sounds incomplete. They need each other like yin and yang
Still loving this so much! Tom has such a unique way of creating songs, very difficult to describe the feelings in words but this song really brings you to his adolescence and his feelings.
This is the best I've heard tom in studio... His departure from Blink-182 is a mute point after listening to his vocals on this solo album. As a producer, vocal coach and country rock artist I can damn well assure anyone that there is only so much an engineer and producer can produce a vocalist without the redundancy of pitch correcting every single word or tone imperfection. There has to be a natural occurrence of tone and execution that intervenes and Tom did it in this album.
Joseph Shepherd Also says it right on the album! I preordered. I think Brooks kills it honestly. He seriously reminds me of Travis. And I wasn't even hoping for anything like it so pretty happy. Also, he drums for Bad Religion... Just makes it that much sweeter.
well I find it funny no music from blink has been produced since neighborhoods yet Tom is producing this and other albums this year.. I don't think Tom was the reason behind the delay
This is a fantastic record, Tom DeLonge is such an inspiration, he has ambition, he cared about Blink, Mark and Travis are just way too impatient, they could've done some +44, but they let it collect dust and continue a band without a essential member, I have no hate on Matt Skiba but he isn't fit for Blink, if it turns into a legal issue, Tom will easily win it, I love Mark & Travis, but they made a stupid decision to kick Tom, they should just break the band up, Mark also has Nothing & Nobody, but have we seen a record? No. Thank you Tom for following your ambition!
Don't think you can blame mark and travis, they're only getting older so it made sense. But all of their schedules just didn't work out and mark and tom are completely different people from 15 years ago, sad but it's life I guess
Daddy is gonna come to meet us Every guy that wished and fell I got a brand new apartment On the other side of Poway Hill Every kid is dreading Monday Ice is on my window sill Waiting for a brand new skateboard I'm waiting for a bit of skill Tommy want a punk-rock weekend And Tommy need a new guitar Tommy ain't a high school drop out Who got kicked out of high school fall [Pre-Chorus 1] I'm holding my head is gonna blow up right on Wake shot up these words I've got quite a bit grey Like they were yesterday We were on our way When the songs do their thing And we're singing [Chorus 1] Suburban kings they will die but will rise up one day Like little kids they will fight til they all get their way And make the most of themselves But we sound the alarm Like they jumped straight out of Hell A freaking hydrogen bomb Bombs away [Verse 2] You gotta get the rules and break them This house is getting out of hand Mother's got a thing for praying But God is gonna hate my band Tommy wants a life of purpose Tommy has some dreams to plan I drive to that shit apartment I'm gonna build a punk-rock band [Pre-Chorus 2] I'm holding my head is gonna blow up right on Wake shot up these words I've got quite a bit grey Like they were yesterday We were on our way When the ships stop at lair And we woke up the hell [Chorus 2] Suburban kings they will die but will rise up one day Like little kids they will fight til they all get their way And make the most of themselves But we sound the alarm Like they jumped straight out of Hell A freaking hydrogen bomb Suburban kings they will die But will rise up one day With steady wings they will fly From up and out of their cage We show the worst of themselves We must sound the alarm These kids, they jumped out of Hell A freaking hydrogen bomb Bombs away
Thank you Tom Everything you done For us Those thousands of people who come here in search of that one feeling we always felt Are not fans But a community created by Tom and we really love you and thanks for saving our childhood ❤️
Poway living for life born and raised.... From Poway High expelled to Rancho Bernardo....Lived the life, but wasn't expelled for drinking, something much different..... If you ever lived in Poway/Rancho Bernardo, this song will make ONE HUNDRED percent more to you.
It's funny seeing the comments saying that this is how the new Blink album should have sounded like, when in fact, this is essentially Neighborhoods (which everyone bitched about for sound too different) but a bit better. I love what Blink is doing, and I love what Tom is now doing. Would I love for him to eventually come back? Hell yeah. But let's just enjoy what we have and stop bitching about everything.
Bringer of Rain the people that bitched about neighborhoods sounding too different are not the ones saying this is how the new blink album should have sounded tho
Love you tom! One of the days I hope to get to see you live! ! Been a fan sents your first album with blink !! 32 now so hopfully you go on your soon !
How can you listen to this song and still think Tom doesn't care about blink? It is almost the perfect sequel to Rite of Spring; this song came out of the second split in blink, while Rite of Spring followed the first hiatus+WDNTW. They both utilize similarly sounding melodic elements and very bittersweet lyricism. Fucking spectacular 🤘💖
Being born in the 80s means I was lucky enough to live through blink and Green day, thanks to Tom, those born in 2000s still get to experience this music.
You've changed peoples' lives, Tom, and that is no small feat.
If it wasn't for Tom I wouldn't be here today!! I met him in Toronto,Ontario on May 15th In the VIP lounge and I couldn't speak to him. I almost passed the f*** out. I wanted to tell him your music saved me.
Rite of Springs Pt II

Was thinking the same thing

Enrique Cruz so damn true haha.
Enrique Cruz Shit couldn't be more true.
I definatly can hate it and definatly do hate it
robert smyth Try it again, sir, put your brain to work... You might actually be able to spell a very easy word like "Definitely" correctly.
Typing on a phone dude obviously didnt mean for the mistake....but clearly meant what i said about hating this song
I have always loved Toms music.. he always gives you chills when you listen to his music.. even if your having a crappy day it makes it better :)
This song is so amazing. That chorus is breath taking.
fuck this is so fucking great im gonna cry
Same haha
FUCKIN SAME
My absolute favourite reminds me of rite of spring
Yup its definitely a version of that
Jake McDowell Dude I thought the exact same thing the first time I heard it
Jacob McDowell lyrics is a parallel to rite of spring, but it sounds like behold a pale horse more.
Jake McDowell absolutely! I've been listening to them both a lot lately.
Love ya man.
this is such a "feel good" song.. it makes you see how insignificant some things you worry about are. just a great great song
Tom is making me feel nostalgic with this music even though it's brand new. I guess it's just the feel of it. I love it, it takes me back to the I empire days. I love all of Tom's material no matter what band he is in. But this is really doing it for me.
@@waggy44182 I swear to God I hope you're being honest :')
Waggy 44 oh yeah I remember that pic! Did he say anything about how close they are to finishing? He’s been posting demos for about 6 months now.
the way you tell your stories, in a beautiful melody, ear-catching songs. just... wow
I wish Tom would make more songs about real-life scenarios (i.e. Rite of Spring). These type of songs are absolutely killer and hit emotionally on another level.
I'll just pretend that this album is blink's album. Thank you, Tom.
hearing that bastardized new "blink" song made me go on a tirade through youtube listening to classic tom and it lead me to all this new solo/angels and airwaves stuff I never heard because I kind of lost touch with his music and im totally just falling back in love with it....this stuff as well as the new angels and airwaves probably was intended for a new blink album before they decided his style of writing wasn't as good as the used up pop punk riffs they are throwing around now

Nah, this is trash. The dude hasn't written anything mind blowing since 2006.
+Daniel lol whatever
Get outta here.
The first time I've smiled since my dog past away. #thankyoutom pure magic
Thomas, There is no song that you have compossed that I hate. fucking love every fucking project that you have made, you are my inspiration and motivation making music. thanks.

I love Blink-182 and I think what made them good were the different contrasts between Tom and Mark. listening to their different projects just sounds incomplete. They need each other like yin and yang
idk i can definitely listen to boxcar racer and it sounds amazing
thanks for explaining everything
Or AvA's WDNTW and i-Empire and Love. LOVE2 was okay, and I haven't enjoyed his stuff so much after. Here's hoping his next album is better.
Tbh i think tom is better off without blink 182 he is much more creative and he just makes better music
Love how this song and new world are him talking about growing up and getting older amd how he calls himself Tommy to refer to beimg young
Thanks for this, i need some Tom DeLonge voice to relax me. Thanks Tom. For living and for making songs. Thanks you.
This has instantly reached my top 5 of Tom's songs.
Still loving this so much! Tom has such a unique way of creating songs, very difficult to describe the feelings in words but this song really brings you to his adolescence and his feelings.

Love this song so much it gives me Rite of Spring vibes
The drummer in this and in the upcoming second album from Tom is Brooks Wackerman (Bad Religion)
EseJ Soldier I'm not saying I don't believe you, but what's your source?
Joseph Shepherd Instagram :)
Ilan say that on instagram :)
Joseph Shepherd Also says it right on the album! I preordered. I think Brooks kills it honestly. He seriously reminds me of Travis. And I wasn't even hoping for anything like it so pretty happy. Also, he drums for Bad Religion... Just makes it that much sweeter.
***** Me too and I noticed that! I agree! An amazing job! I'm pretty stoked for the future of Toms music.
now we all know who's the master mind behind blink 182... toms just full of feelings and creativity...
I'm pretty sure they all contribute in different ways.. Stop trying to make people bite
George Sherwood no, he's kinda right. +44 was pretty bad and generic.
James Kozeluh cool story bro
well I find it funny no music from blink has been produced since neighborhoods yet Tom is producing this and other albums this year.. I don't think Tom was the reason behind the delay
Trey Farris Don't forget "Dogs Eating Dogs".
Tom Delonge is a pure genius.
Agreed well said.
I just wish tom showed he cared more. He did some pretty jacked up stuff
Don't think you can blame mark and travis, they're only getting older so it made sense. But all of their schedules just didn't work out and mark and tom are completely different people from 15 years ago, sad but it's life I guess
***** Thank you for having a functioning brain, m8
***** Impatient for damn near four years. okay.
Im feeling this!
Arturo Vallarino LOL
*Arturo Vallarino* I guess fate fell short this time then 😉
Daddy is gonna come to meet us
Every guy that wished and fell
I got a brand new apartment
On the other side of Poway Hill
Every kid is dreading Monday
Ice is on my window sill
Waiting for a brand new skateboard
I'm waiting for a bit of skill
Tommy want a punk-rock weekend
And Tommy need a new guitar
Tommy ain't a high school drop out
Who got kicked out of high school fall
[Pre-Chorus 1]
I'm holding my head is gonna blow up right on
Wake shot up these words
I've got quite a bit grey
Like they were yesterday
We were on our way
When the songs do their thing
And we're singing
[Chorus 1]
Suburban kings they will die but will rise up one day
Like little kids they will fight til they all get their way
And make the most of themselves
But we sound the alarm
Like they jumped straight out of Hell
A freaking hydrogen bomb
Bombs away
[Verse 2]
You gotta get the rules and break them
This house is getting out of hand
Mother's got a thing for praying
But God is gonna hate my band
Tommy wants a life of purpose
Tommy has some dreams to plan
I drive to that shit apartment
I'm gonna build a punk-rock band
[Pre-Chorus 2]
I'm holding my head is gonna blow up right on
Wake shot up these words
I've got quite a bit grey
Like they were yesterday
We were on our way
When the ships stop at lair
And we woke up the hell
[Chorus 2]
Suburban kings they will die but will rise up one day
Like little kids they will fight til they all get their way
And make the most of themselves
But we sound the alarm
Like they jumped straight out of Hell
A freaking hydrogen bomb
Suburban kings they will die
But will rise up one day
With steady wings they will fly
From up and out of their cage
We show the worst of themselves
We must sound the alarm
These kids, they jumped out of Hell
A freaking hydrogen bomb
Bombs away
Good job 👍💜
But the first word of the song is not daddy,it's that,so that part of the song is, That is gonna come and meet us.
0:45 Brooks Wackerman rocks those drums. Leading into chorus is awesome. And the symbol crashes during the chorus create a great "swinging" feeling.
This chorus is dynamite. Reminds me of WDNTW/I-Empire vibes, where you can accomplish anything you put your mind to.
This is like part 2 to Rite of Spring!
Yyyyyoooooooooooo
it is
Blink182Tomforever yup where he reflects on his life and where he is now as a successful musician and entrepreneur
I love it! Tom, keep doing what you're doing, you're coming out with some really good songs!

God I am loving this one. Those verses really make this song what it is. It's got a nice groove and a nice relaxed melody!
I think this is my all-time favorite chorus of all his songs!
This album is awesome. Brooks Wackerman did an amazing job on the drums too. I can't wait for his other albums to come out.
This is one of the best songs you've ever written Tom. It's awesome.
Poway living for life born and raised.... From Poway High expelled to Rancho Bernardo....Lived the life, but wasn't expelled for drinking, something much different..... If you ever lived in Poway/Rancho Bernardo, this song will make ONE HUNDRED percent more to you.
Love you guys ❤
I love this song to me it sounds similar to rite of spring meaning wise
Totalmente de acuerdo con tu comentario, saludos des España.
Rock on Tom!
Better than any new "Blink" stuff
That chorus is GOAT!!
i can just hear marks harmonies in the last chorus making this song perfection
i can't stop listening to this song, its beyond amazing
It's funny seeing the comments saying that this is how the new Blink album should have sounded like, when in fact, this is essentially Neighborhoods (which everyone bitched about for sound too different) but a bit better. This is a pretty cool song!
has that box car racer feel during the verse. I like it.
Just discovered this song and I'm hooked. Didn't know Tom released songs under his own name
His lyrics is what carried blink, boxcar, and angles. I need some solo
Amazing
Brings back memories
Most of drum tracks for his songs are so travis and I love it.
amazing old school album. with a futuristic twist. inspirational as always from a true genius.
this album is going to be the "most played" in my playlist in no time.
Tom - 1
Mark & Travis - 0
I was living a life this whole song describes two years before Delongue played it
That snare sound!

This so much better than the new blinkaline 182. In quite a few songs he sounds just like Travis.
+First Name Last Name I do it's called Matt..
Jk..
I laughed too loud at "blinkaline". hahaha.
AND AFTER!!!!!!!!!TOM GENIUS
Rite Of Spring part II (Suburban Kings)

You can tell by the vibes that this is an AVA song.... fantastic song btw!
You never cease to amaze me Tom
