6 years later and i keep coming back to this one. It is absolute fire and criminally underrated. Mad props for this Supreme and Son of Noise, respect! One of the best tracks I have ever heard in 25 years of Hip Hop.

42 years old I am now, living in Australia. Will never forget back in the UK buying The Horns of Jericho on vinyl- constant playing of what is, and always will be, a timeless classic. UK Hip Hop has done it's full cycle, this tune may take you back to the old days, but, this is the future sound of UK Hip Hop in my opinion. This tune is the perfect example of how to take an early day style and bring it into present day. Production, vocals, vision, everything is spot on, congratulations to all involved in this. Curoc bought a brilliantly updated version of classic hard rhyming and Supreme seems to have made a hard edge britcore banger with it still sounding contemporary.. Fist bumps, handshakes and some serious back patting for this one chaps..

back in the day when i used to listen to mike allen on capital radio 84 -87 hip hop for me was the best !!! then 1988 came and u.s hip hop took a dive and it got sh"t !!!!! then i discovered uk hip hop and my listening ears kicked in again !!!lol HIJACK, SON OF NOISE, GUNSHOT, HARDNOISE, DEMON BOYS, and so on !!!! thank god for uk hip hop cos them peeps listed and others got me excited about hip hop again and would like to say a MASSIVE thank you to those guys !!!!! respsct to you DJ Supreme.. !!!
100% agree. Mike's show got scrapped at a time when hip hop went through a very bad phase. both US and UK hip hop revived itself in the early 90's. During that period I got into house music because for me, it was just better but the balance was redressed in the 90's. I love both genres from that period now. Incidentally, if you listen to any of the Mike Allen shows posted around the internet most of them originate from my old tape collection lol
The nice thing about House and Hip Hop in this country Was is that they went on to form the early 90s rave sound like Prodigy and Shut Up And Dance. The Hip Hop/Rave tunes were like Mickey Finn Bitin Back She’s Breaking Up and Underkut Both Ends

So much good hip hop came from the UK after an initial spell of copying American accents.
The beats though, whooh, UK found its own sound and the lyricism followed.
