@9:46 Gabe is really good at persuading people (look how he persuaded Sam to give up his shot in the dark) so I was surprised how he was unable to get a group to vote for Genevieve when both Rachel and Sam felt Genevieve was dangerous. At final 9, they needed 5 votes majority and if Gabe, Sue, Rachel, Sam, and just one more person (Teeny or Kyle?) voted Genevieve, then Genevieve would have been voted out. Andy was really really good at protecting Genevieve. @11:27 I can see how it's the people that's the highlight. I've watched SURVIVOR for 20+ years and Genevieve's confessional in this episode on how she avoids getting close to people because the game is 'not fun' anymore after you lie to your closest friends really hit me.
I wasn't surprised as I think the other non Tuku players outside of Rachel understood how dangerous keeping 4 Tuku players together was. Plus they know that Genevieve isn't likely to win immunity next time.
Disagree about the power of an idol. It can build trust, but the most powerful idol is the one no one else knows about. Telling others may build trust but it weakens the idol. Ask Rachel.
Gabe really was playing Survivor. He’s calculated and sneaky. He really considered Tiyana as his biggest rival. Really thought he’d make it further than F9 based on the edit and his soundbites!
Gabe would have made it to the end if he survived this vote. Tuku was in a great position. But I think Andy made this happen, protecting Genevieve, plus working on Kyle and Caroline. It's interesting that they edited Andy and Sue's conversation as a positive moment for Andy eventhough it was a disaster.
Gabe has a passionate life.
In a season where so many players are playing strategically, Gabe was up with the best, from the start.
That was such a good explanation of idol usage and how idols are viewed in the new era

I agree especially in this stage of the game.
Gabe played a great game. Enjoyed hearing his insight.
Gabe was a fun personality to watch. I feel like we will see him again, somewhere!
Just love the MARYLAND pride!!
Smart player - but the other castaways knew that too! 😊
Great interview as always Sarah. 🥰
