Great advice on how to diagnose were to work on within one’s game. Hope to try this out when I can get back to the course. As always great content, and the unintentional capture of an epic putt celebration @ 8:45ish had me cracking up.
My biggest issue is confidence and committing to shots when it counts. Practicing, I can bang putt after putt. During tournaments when the score matters, I also don't open my hand all the way and get this shaky putt that goes in most of the time inside 25ft but if I miss might go 5ft past the basket. Totally uncommitted. My mental game is my biggest focus this off season because we proved it to ourselves that we have the talent and ability to make shots, just execute what we already know how to do.
Love all your content! You're like me: fast talker and all over the place. This is my vibe! I'm trying to start recording my sessions too and this is definitely inspiring.
Nice video. Good job vocalizing what you're thinking. I need to do that more... I notice things to improve on, but I need to pinpoint them and remember what to change
Only thing that could be bad about this approach is constantly focusing on the negative, i.e. what not to do. A good coach knows how to pinpoint the thing you SHOULD be doing, which is simpler than thinking of a huge list of things not to do.
I use a tennis term: unforced error. In tennis an unforced error is hitting it into the net, double fault, out , etc. In disc golf an unforced error is OB, Hazzard, Water, missed putt in the circle, (and for me) disc selection or shot decision. One day I had 8 unforced errors for the day and shot about even. The next day I zero unforced errors and shot -8.
Keep in mind there's a difference between a nose-up release and throwing with an upward trajectory. I find that most of the time my mistake is the latter, but it's easy to mistake one for the other. Nose-up typically refers to the nose pointing higher than the trajectory of the swing and release.
Hey Anthony I love your content, keep it coming my man. We all know that you are trying to develop more distance and I help a lot of people in my area with there distance. I was wondering if I could give you a bit of advice to help you develop distance. If not no problem keep up there great work
Appreciate the offer! I'm reworking my form right now because my hip movement and swing path were off, that will be a 2 months process. I'm going to trust what my coach and my body/work is telling me but after all that if I'm not throwing as far as I feel I should be I'd love some tips. Right now I'm alright though! Really appreciate the offer!
Can you do an in the bag soon? Or when you are throwing a shot, could you tell what disc you're throwing for the shot? Just interested to see what you're throwing now as you've progressed! Great content. Keep it up!!
Definitely planning to figure out my bag lol. I definitely can do that sometime soon-ish, but likely before the next season because I'm really not focusing on my bag this offseason, but m y training
Hey have you tried tradewinds park in Coconut Creek? I played it back in 09 when I was down in Florida on vacation. Just watch out for snakes and Gators 🤣
Will Schusterick, Scott Stokley, Dave Feldberg, ect. It's a long list of players with game Cred, that won't just robotically make you a copy of some "ideal" form. After three or four rounds, it's how you sliced and diced the course, game plan for scoring opportunities, that separates you from the pack, not "was my form perfect". Good luck never hurts
I might be playing a bit next week. Not playing as much as I focus on lifting and form for a few weeks but will likely play in windemere and/or pines hills at the courses there. I think I'm closest to the infantry course though so I'm not 100% sure. DM me on insta
Be careful with that arm pit pain. I had something like that and one day slipped in mid throw and tore my labrum front and back. Scared the - out of me. Can’t even putt for at least 9 months… totally depressing.. so do them stretches every time. 🤡
appreciate the knowledge. pace of talking is fast. slow down your game, slow down your speech. idk if you're anxious but you *kind of* make me feel anxious through your delivery. best of luck with your play brother
You have an enormous amount of good information here. I am totally in on following this journey...but! Here is the criticism. Do you also make Tik Toks? You are talking very fast during this. It feels like you are trying to squeeze this into a predetermined amount of time. Slow down so people can follow along with your thought process. Best of luck!
Not trying to hate but what credentials do the OT guys have? I watch their channel and they're average disc golfers at best. I get being open to coaching but why take advice from mediocre talent?
I know they've worked with multiple pros, and coaching isn't always correlated to talent. If you can breakdown and coach a movement, and have an understanding of it on a deep level, that's what matters. I guess the results will speak for what it's worth but even on my forehand work it's been great
If we look at other sports some of the best coaches in the world couldn’t ever make the pro level. What they do have is the understanding of the movements and how to teach and relate them.
Yea, he’s disc golfing and not sitting on his ass. He has a lot of energy . Have you ever disc golfed before? His bag weighs about 20lbs while walking up and down hills .
@@CraigsCuts yeah, I disc golf a lot. Tournaments, casual play, leagues.....and I carry a pretty heavy bag also. But I don't talk that fast. And the disc golfers I know (pros, ams, and casual players) don't talk that fast.
OMG not me celebrating my putt in the background 😭😭
🍨
Killed it.
8:50 LOOOL
😂
😂
The girl celebrating her putt at 8:43 was wholesome and funny🤣.
8:51 in the background lol
Also saw it
That’s my girlfriend 😂 no way

8:49 the girl jumping for joy in the background after she makes a putt, hell yeah
Great video, love seeing others throw the inner core

Straight up, best thing I did for reading wind was a chalk bag
Been playing since 1998 and still working on form.

I was playing the UCF course and saw you recording this video, just happened to stumble upon this video too, very cool
Please bring back POV disc golf, great vid as always🙌
Crazy improvement over the last year since this video
You have such a great mix of content. Love your videos.
😂😂 I loved the Bag Birdie 🤣🤣 thank you for that! haha
Great video.
Can you review the M3 prodigy disc some time. Love your content.
Classic coaching, start as a ‘mistake finder’ then become a strength builder. Mistake finder phase is frustrating for sure.
What great advice. Thanks for sharing this

Dude come over to Tampa Bay where the legends were born

youre always gold to me Anthony :P
foot fault
I looked back on my round yesterday and counted where I lost strokes on drives, upshots, and putts.
I can't play any rounds its snowing alot😔
Did you do your putts today?

If you’re back in Orlando, would love to play a round together.

Yeah look a pro golf teachers. They can’t win on tour but they know how to evaluate swing mechanics. Etc
Best athlete can easily be worst teacher and best teacher can easily be worst athlete.
Dang, take a breath....you seem like you are rushing to get words out.
