My best was 24 from the same customer that of the 480 halves, only 70 were clad. Lots of whole roll of 40 and some 90. My best box was 50 coins, mostly walkers an d Benjis including the rare 1955. There's nothing like that feeling!

@brian56 it's an amazing feeling to find Silver "in the wild" at face value.

Hi, You said prior to 1971 and I maybe 🤔 wrong but clad was 1965-1969 so everything 1970 and above not having silver except for some of the mint sets…
As to the find that is awesome and I have also had some amazing finds being into jewelry buying since I was 15yo and was out with a friend on the way to a swim park and stopped at a yard sale and since my parents were into antiques and such since I was a little kid as a hobby and also into antique jewelry and such so we stopped at the sale and two little old ladies had a table full of jewelry for 25 cents each and the first piece I picked up was a Mariam Haskell pearl necklace just costume but I recognized the name so I asked what they would take for everything and it was $11 lol so I end up with 7 pieces of Haskell jewelry some gold rings and such and ended up making almost $2k on the lot and this was the early 80’s but the funny thing was they also had a big pottery piggy bank filled with coins that they priced for $15 that I bought and they didn’t have the heart to break it open since it belonged to a passed on family member so when I got home that day my Dad drilled a hole in the bottom and there was not a penny in it but was all halves and quarters with most all dating in the 1950’s and there was about $90 face value in fact I still have all the halves to this day.
Only one that comes close as to coins was my Mom and Dad were at a sale and it was somewhat a estate sale with them being the first and only buyers there that morning and the person wanted everything gone so he said to make a pile and my Mom found a bunch of good jewelry and in one dresser drawer she found a ton of half dollars and asked if there were for sale and he said put them in your pile well there was over $100 face in silver about $50 in clad and about another $75 in regular ones and I think he charged somewhere around $150 for all they got that day…

@danieldavis7269 hi, and thanks for your awesome comment. My definition of clad is anything 1971 and beyond LOL. Take care!
