Your new baby is so sweet. I see a boy with this one. I have been a reborn doll collector for around 12 years now, and a doll collector for around 30 years. Some of my babies was brand new but most are as said used, I must say I have never seen them as used to me. I am happy to buy a reborn new or used. It matters if I love the baby I am wanting to add to my collection.
I buy a lot of pre-loved babies. Although I’m very careful of whom I buy from. When I go online such as eBay just looking (or window shopping as you might say) I see “used” a lot. It would be so nice if eBay would let you change that one word. What really gets to me is when a pre-loved baby is addressed as “New”. I’m seeing this a lot lately. It’s probably off topic, just wanted to get this off my chest. Congratulations Shannon! He’s is sooo gorgeous! Alexa baby is on my bucket list, too. 🤗

When I received my Elijah which is my Khloe Maria by Marita Winters he came as a girl but I immediately saw boy and never went back. I love the advice you gave with buying and selling and how we might be able to protect ourselves when selling or buying. I have a custom baby that's also a prototype second hand and she's just as beautiful as she was when the first lady a adopted her and I'm a second Mommy
Being the second mommy is not the same as second hand clothes or furniture. Those items become worn or soiled. Well cared for babies are usually just as pristine as new babies and for a more affordable price. I’ve never described a baby as used or second hand though. I’d say I’m his second mommy. Just sharing my perspective. Love you Sis
I don’t understand how people think second hand could be bad cause if it was we would be stuck with thousands of dolls if we couldn’t sell some of our collection and some people can only afford second hand so NO I see nothing wrong with it and I been in the community over 9years!!
