Great vid, Dr.! Love the comparison with Copics. Always wanted to try Copics but I could never justify the price. Ohuhu seems like a viable alternative and I won't break the bank. I got a small set of Ohuhu markers a while after I started following artists on RUclips - really wanted to try doing what people like you were doing with alcohol markers. The layering and blending is really amazing; so different from the cheap water-based markers I used as a kid. I think Ohuhu is a great budget option when most other brands seem to sell at premium prices.

Great comparison! I'm a ohuhu user too, I love them! Actually when I bought them inside the bag there was a scheme to swatch the markers, quite useful because of the difference between paper/cap 🤔 (but it was a smaller set)

I think the best way to do a color board is to make one on a piece of paper you also use for your drawings!

in all honesty Ohuhu final result actually at 11:33 looks better than Copic. I've bought 3 sets a while back but never really had time to use them since I worked 3rd shift I have to try them now. Great video!

I recently bought Arteza, another budget brand. I've seen their ads for years, and decided to try them out. I like them so far. I would love to see you do a comparison of those markers!

@@Dr.RockeART They are pretty cool, but I'm not an advanced user of markers. The copics have a softer tip, and it seems that the ink flows better in some colors than in others with the arteza. And like you said in one of your videos, the colors on the pen caps don't exactly match. If you have time, check out my alter ego D. Wolverine gold and brown would be awesome. I must say copics are quite expensive but very good markers. Im still trying to build my collection. I will definitely add Ohuhu markers to my Amazon cart. Not expensive and you get alot more markers for a fair price

I definitely prefer the Copics, because you will save money with them lasting longer and having better accessibility. But Ohuhus are definitely worth it

I dont really understand the second row of Huge abs and its big area of shadows on super man. And if the light coming from the front I don’t understand where that shadow comes from. Maybe from a basket ball in front of him. :) Im learning anatomy for artists on proko but I guess this is more the freedom of the artist and especially freedom of the comic artist than being anatomical correct :) Good comparing anyways ;)

Actually I draw my comic book heroes with a quite big chest, so the big muscles are a bit „bent“ inside. Like David Finch does…and Jim Lee.
And the lightsource is mostly coming from above. I thinknthat should be right 😅

The Ohuhus are very good value for money, and great to start learning to do color. But their single marker price is cheap but more normal 2,5euros. stin amazing comparing with copics.
Copics in their own country are really cheap, 3,3 usd. but why even the official distributor in Greece sell them 7,95 euros. They are not expensive there, why so much here.
For me copics if you dont see the price the are long lasting, with refills and replacement parts.
For me that use a lot of ink in certain colors, refills are mandatory.
But for the price, NO NO NO. for me is ergonomics and refills.

Well, the price is best with the ohuhu, so they are my favorite as well. They are too similar to copics. But I will still keep my copics of course…
