+Game Sack Glad to see you're here. I've missed your videos the past month. Quality takes time I guess. I'm looking forward to seeing a video on rubber feet!
***** As much as its fun to joke, there's gotta be a good reason. I'm hoping it means vacation time! Otherwise I'm thinking to review games we gotta play them. Perhaps Joe was inspired by Boogerman to become a vigilante and Dave dyed his hair green and wears face paint now while he steals UPS packages in elaborate heists.
Great job Mark! Since the GameCube is small & light, it's feet stand out in my mind for holding it firmly. I remember back in 2002 when my brother yanked the control cord causing the GameCube on the stool to tilt forward with the consoles feet holding on for dear life. The GameCube still works.
You really should loop that part starting at 5:47 and turn it into a mixtape! I was really feeling the bars fly off that Neo-Geo! You could also end the track with that "How you doin?"
You wanna know what's the best Select button? That would be the NEC PC engine / Turbografx 16 select button! Why? Because it's actually useful in many games! Although you could attribute that to the general lack of buttons on a regular PCE/TG16 controller... But still! In many PC engine shoot'em ups the select button is used to select the speed of your ship! In Castlevania Rondo of Blood the Select button unleashes your maximum attack, the item crash! There are many games in the system that use the Run button to perform an action worthy of a 3rd action button, so the Select button takes over as a pause/menu button! It might not be the most comfortable or the most stylish select button out there, but it's definitely the most useful one ;3
Mark you do realis that when you were pointing at the select button on the NES controller you pointed at every button EXCEPT the select button xD xD xD
3:02 Ortooona! Awesome thanks Mark! and for the record my vote goes for the Original PS1 that is one well balanced machine-put that sucker on a coffee table it's not going anywhere!
Know what the world needs? Controllers with multiple select buttons for extra selection because selecting from a selection of several selects in search of the best selectable is truly a wonderful thing.
Hard to beat actual arcade buttons, but I like the Dualshocks because they made them in totally different shape rather than just having a start button with a different label. Now that I think of it, the DS1-3 might have my favorite start button ever. Unless we count the Enter key on my IBM Model M keyboard. Enter and space bar are among the best sounds and feelings an input device can make.
The select button on the Neo Geo CD controller is also good. It lacks authority, but it serves to pause (!?) the game, on the opposite of any other select button from other consoles.
You should have checked out the Championship Joystick for the SNES by C&L Controls and KBM. Made with all arcade quality parts and that awesome click in the buttons and joystick. Cant be beat.
very cool very fun video I loved it. I'm very eager to see what game sack thinks is the best rubber feet in the industry. I'd say it's dreamcast. What traction!
Love the XBone select button, it's like a really small Neo Geo select button, it feels satisfying. Not like those horrible, soft select and start buttons on the PS 1, 2, & 3. Havent handled a PS4 controller...
+stormj99 Well, that is crap. With Witcher 3 for the Bone menu options are handled with the select button and inventory is on Start. How does the PS4 handle this??
Not sure if this counts but the DS Lite had a nice Select Button. It's small, round, and clicky. it's like a smaller version of the MVS Select Button, Mark ;)
The Panasonic original FZ-1 3DO has the best rubber feet, those feet support the frankly epic mass of the original 3DO machine, which in turn plays Return Fire and The Need for Speed, which are also awesome.
The Nintendo Wii has the best rubber feet since it has two sets of them: one set on the bottom skinny area and one set on the larger flat side. Hard to argue against the Neo Geo having the best select button, but I still love the one on the original 1989 Gameboy.
+Larry Lopez The Wii U also has two sets of feet. Here's a bonus: one of the sets is even removable, so you can choose if you want the Wii U to stand upright, or lay down while it takes the abuse you give it...to the controller, I mean.
I hate the select button on systems were you select an entire game, because what if you are in progress of a game and press the wrong select button, you will be screwed,or someone can pestering you by constandly hit the select button. Also mark should had to tell that the SMS controller also lacks a select button. I think the select button is on the nes dogbone controller.
the greatest select button is on the PS1 controller. This is because it is the button you press in Bushido Blade to bow down and allow your opponent to chop off your head.
very good job mark while I was watching this video my mind started wondering 2 things 1 how many controllers after the SNES era has a select button on it.2 the select button on the SNES advantage controller is it hard plastic or soft rubber?
If rubber feet leave marks on the surface when you are forced to move the console, you know they're going above and beyond the call of duty. That's why I'm going for (drum roll)... THE ATARI JAGUAR!!! Hey, they had to get SOMETHING right.
Best rubber feet? The Game Cube. Why? because, while there are only two of them, their design matches the aesthetic of the rest of the console well and they don't waste what isn't needed. Second place is obviously the Nintendo Video Toaster, because CLEARANCE! It's like the thing has a lift kit installed.
Got to agree with you on the GameCube feet, although my reason is for nostalgia. The GameCube's design was awesome, or at least not as bad as people say!
Best SELECT button ever? PSP Street Edition! So comfortable, so nice, it doesn't blow your eyes, but it's easy to see it. BEST EVER! If arcade panel counts as a controller, why not handheld?
I say the original is best, the NES controller select button, and Retron 3 has best rubber feet. And Mark that Cyborg ninja T-shirt reminds me from Robocop 3. =/
Awesome vid! Challenge accepted. Somehow we'll do it!
I can imagine all the explosions and Joe's glorious shouting already.
I hope you guys are enjoying your time off!
+Game Sack Glad to see you're here. I've missed your videos the past month. Quality takes time I guess. I'm looking forward to seeing a video on rubber feet!

all of this is glorious
The NES Advantage is clearly the best. I mean it can control the Statue of Liberty for Pete's sake.
+TheInsanemonkeyboy its select button, is close ot the side of the controller.
Good call! "Suck in your guts guys, we're the Ghostbusters?"
Mark this has to be one of your best videos cause you just don't give a shit.
I totally forgot about this channel. I watched this dude for years and in 2016 he's still as good as wheb I first watched him.
Literally laughed water into my nose when you announced "WILL" at the end shoutout part. Thank you, Mark. I enjoyed the video :)
GAMESACK crossover CLASSIC GAME ROOM review gotta happen!!
Great job Mark! Since the GameCube is small & light, it's feet stand out in my mind for holding it firmly. I remember back in 2002 when my brother yanked the control cord causing the GameCube on the stool to tilt forward with the consoles feet holding on for dear life. The GameCube still works.
Can't believe you actually went through with this, great counter challenge! I love Game Sack!
An absolutely necessary video. Thank you Mark. I was praying for a cameo appearance though. My Game Sack DTs are still raging.
Best CGR episode this year.
You were featured on Watchmojo again today. They just love you over there, and rightly so. Good luck in the R-Zone .. . Challenge is up GameSack!
The Wii and Wii U Controller Pro game-pads have an excellent SELECT-buttons and all other buttons as well!
Great to finally see a reviewer who has his priorities straight.
Im getting a steel battalion controller in 2 days
surprised to see it in your vid again :D
Finally, one of lives great questions have been answered, thank you CGRLK.
Love the GS cross over Mark!
wow... that's a great select button
lmao to this day, I still love this channel. It needs that popularity that it once had.
You really should loop that part starting at 5:47 and turn it into a mixtape! I was really feeling the bars fly off that Neo-Geo! You could also end the track with that "How you doin?"

mvs and aes
were top of the food chain for over a decade. props
Mark you do realis that when you were pointing at the select button on the NES controller you pointed at every button EXCEPT the select button xD xD xD

Your gaming room looks awesome!
I really dig the Sega Saturn controller. It looks so well designed and comfortable.
+AgentCell It is, And it is. Never broken one and I played my saturn every day till I got my dreamcast. 4 years of awesome
Hard to beat actual arcade buttons, but I like the Dualshocks because they made them in totally different shape rather than just having a start button with a different label.

the r-zone bit always cracks me up
And like Genesis and Saturn, Dreamcast is too cool to have a select button!
It is my favourite start button though!
that snes hori fighting stick is badass. lord karnage is living the dream
I knew it! I knew the Neo Geo MVS would be number 1!
The Select button on an NEC PC Engine controller is pretty good!
The select button on the Neo Geo CD controller is also good. It lacks authority, but it serves to pause (!?) the game, on the opposite of any other select button from other consoles.
ALL HAIL THE MVS AND IT'S MIGHTY SELECT!!
Id love to get into that game cave of his and clean everything, the close ups of all the dirt make me feel ill
Finally, a glimpse of the fabled "R-Zone."
The PC Engine Avenue Pad 3 has the best select button, bexause it allows u to map the select button to a NORMAL BUTTON, button 3.
my ps4 controller does not have a select button
Mitsumi made Asciiware SNES. Same as the factory controller, but has turbo options.
Cant argue the choice. I want to, but i cant. Thats just the best select button.
Come on now. Best feet? The Virtual Boy is so far beyond the competition that it's not even fair. Damn thing can practically walk.
+DB Pooper Check the select button on the Virtual Boy. It's sweet.
Only mark could make reviewing something as mundane as select buttons entertaining.
You never realize how useless a select button is until you look at how many systems don't use one.
Xbox 360 for me. Technically it's a back button I guess, but it works the same :)
+060steve Gotta agree with you.
+060steve Disqualified! Forgive me Green Heart!
+060steve What ? ...way too tiny !^^
5:30 seems like a copout as it says that it is a "Select Game" button.
Man i just loved this one! Awsome video ;)
You should have checked out the Championship Joystick for the SNES by C&L Controls and KBM. Made with all arcade quality parts and that awesome click in the buttons and joystick. Cant be beat.
That music at 1:40... is that the menu BGM from the TMNT II: The Secret of the Ooze DVD?
what cleaning products do you use to make your controllers look like new
I like that you kept on pointing to the start button instead of the select button to annoy me.
bless you guys.
very cool very fun video I loved it. I'm very eager to see what game sack thinks is the best rubber feet in the industry. I'd say it's dreamcast. What traction!
Nintendo DS Lite, DSi, and DSi XL have the best select buttons out of the 20 systems I own
Love the XBone select button, it's like a really small Neo Geo select button, it feels satisfying. Not like those horrible, soft select and start buttons on the PS 1, 2, & 3. Havent handled a PS4 controller...
+Charlie Wood The PS4 has no select button because sony thought that that stupid fucking share button was more important.
+stormj99 Well, that is crap. With Witcher 3 for the Bone menu options are handled with the select button and inventory is on Start. How does the PS4 handle this??
Charlie Wood Most games use the left side of the touchpad as select. It's about as horrible as you would expect.
I wish I could get drunk in a cave with video games.
+Tom Wilson L
I wish I could taste Mark's sweet manhood between games of Truxton while my wife film's the footage.
+Tom Wilson mom's "basement" eh?
I guess that's ONE way to put it...
Not sure if this counts but the DS Lite had a nice Select Button. It's small, round, and clicky. it's like a smaller version of the MVS Select Button, Mark ;)
Awesome shirt.
Love your Neo Geo cause it's got a Neo Driftout cover with a Finnish flag and the words "VAUHDIN MAAILMA" (the world of speed!")
*Looks at the NG MVS Select button* I.. I just want to push it.....
Haha. You're something else. Have loved your videos for years :)
Best feet? Hmmmm, Sega CD Model 2.
i was hoping to see the gamesack guys in the episode :I
Lord Karnage just gave a shout out to game sack BEST EVER
quite in the middle from early and or late
This is AMAZING!
The Panasonic original FZ-1 3DO has the best rubber feet, those feet support the frankly epic mass of the original 3DO machine, which in turn plays Return Fire and The Need for Speed, which are also awesome.
The Virtual Boy has a great select button.
Holds a rant about select buttons. Keeps pointing to the start button :D.
The Nintendo Wii has the best rubber feet since it has two sets of them: one set on the bottom skinny area and one set on the larger flat side.
Hard to argue against the Neo Geo having the best select button, but I still love the one on the original 1989 Gameboy.

I think the select button is on the nes dogbone controller.
LOL so many names at the end.
Worlds are colliding!
He's right, the Neo*Geo is the best button because you don't need coins to switch the games so it's free!
the greatest select button is on the PS1 controller. This is because it is the button you press in Bushido Blade to bow down and allow your opponent to chop off your head.
'I'm inside the R zone!' Nice. Hated Tiger games as a kid. Too bad pretty much everybody I knew had some time in there. The horror...
fantastic
The 3DS has nice select buttons. ANd the WiiMote's - button is essentially a select button and is really good.
the 3ds select button is horrible
It's firm and clicks
Arcade microswitches-FUCK YEAH!
Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Select
R.I.P. Select button
1985-2013
Dude, you look way better now than you did in your 20's (early videos).
He's like wine. lol
very good job mark while I was watching this video my mind started wondering 2 things 1 how many controllers after the SNES era has a select button on it.2 the select button on the SNES advantage controller is it hard plastic or soft rubber?
Even though it doesn't have a select button, the Sega Genesis controller should still win because it's a Sega Genesis controller.
Sega saturn controller for ps2 has select button.
If rubber feet leave marks on the surface when you are forced to move the console, you know they're going above and beyond the call of duty.
That's why I'm going for (drum roll)... THE ATARI JAGUAR!!!
Hey, they had to get SOMETHING right.
I want a plays tarpon so bad!
Does anyone know what "trigger" means on the Genesis gamepad?
Its the mode button
Its a button you press when you are ofended :p
Oooh... shit's gettin' REAL...
mad catz te stick has an amazing select button
I LOVE 7:07 to 7:20 SO MUCH!!!!
ECHO!
_Echo!_
_echo!_
Best select button? The Game Select toggle switch on the Atari 2600 (six-switch model). Because toggle switches and woodgrain are that important. []
A select button that selects games!? How could anything possibly beat that?
TwitchPlaysPokemon's favorite button. BORT
Best SELECT button ever? PSP Street Edition! So comfortable, so nice, it doesn't blow your eyes, but it's easy to see it. BEST EVER! If arcade panel counts as a controller, why not handheld?
Which console would make the greatest blunt force weapon?
jzornthgrt
lol it was a meaty beast.
Justin A plus it has lasers.
8:15 So Lando!
I say the original is best, the NES controller select button, and Retron 3 has best rubber feet.
And Mark that Cyborg ninja T-shirt reminds me from Robocop 3. =/
does the neo geo has any connection to neon genesis evangelion? the font looks exactly the same
I like the select button on the ps4 controller best
