Guangdong the Huidong Sea Turtle National Reserve.
Known as “living fossils”, sea turtles have been around since the time of the dinosaurs. They live almost their entire life at sea, but with one exception. During the nesting season, mother turtles migrate to their birthplace and come ashore to lay approximately 100 eggs. Only 1 in 1000 wild sea turtles survive to adulthood. At the Huidong Sea Turtle National Reserve in Guangdong, the only known active laying ground remaining along the coastline of the Chinese mainland DUTE NEWS will be livestreaming the remarkable nesting event of wild sea turtles.
