When Raider fans were complaining after the draft, saying it was a wasted pick because of picking Meyer the year before, I commented every chance I got that they didn’t understand the talent they just got. I also told them there wouldn’t be a long learning curve. Brock Bowers is a TRULY SPECIAL PLAYER. I watched every snap of his college career, many in person, and the guy just takes over games. Enjoy the show Raider Nation!!

Brock has 15 receptions in 2 games. Most in the history of the NFL for rookie TE. Cheers!

Your POV about Adams and Bowers getting double coverage, leaving two very good options in Michael and Jacobi getting single coverage is accurate and one of the keys to a successful season for the Raiders. I would'nt be surprised if Michael and Jacobi start getting a lot more targets and a lot more receptions. We need to drastically improve the O-line and I'm hoping JPJ can be an upgrade to assist with bad OT play.

I remember Raider fans crying on Draft night about drafting Brock ! I told the fans that Brock isn’t human! Brock lives sleeps and eats Football a great team player no diva! He hasn’t scratched the surface yet. Brock doesn’t need more weight he’s a fantastic blocker! Extra weight will take away his top In speed! We called him Block Bowers at Ga

Don't forget Meyers...he also is very good. He'll get his calls, he won't disappoint.
Been waiting since the OG Oakland days for a legitimate physical dual tight end set.
Getsy you better this frickin get it right!!! He at present actually is our achilles heel.
(As a side note) Al gave us the blueprint starting with the attitude/philosophy in the early days (AFL) then he gave us Madden (1st Super Bowl) with his brutal run game with Stabler at QB with his accuracy all while controlling the clock...all this backed by a might makes right Defense...still the quintessential model used for defense today.
So as another new season rolls up upon us I have immense faith in Coach Pierce, as I believe he is using Al's blueprint, and tweaking it to the modern NFL. This is my perspective from a AFL Raiders fan since age 9 1965...I've quite literally seen it all.
So all in all..we fans and organization just need to have patience and faith, along with a lil bit of FK U attitude to the lame ass talking heads of the sports world.
    Go Raiders!!!

Whats crazy is that they showed Raiders fans booing when Brock was drafted and saying it was a dumb pick because the Raiders already had Mayer, I wonder where those fans are right now...lmao

Never saw Bowers make the 1st down gesture while he was at UGA.
    He earned it!
UGA shoulda trademarked "3rd and Bowers".

The Raiders got a great Tight End with Brock Bowers. I watched him play for UGA in the SEC and he was the key to them winning back to back National Championships. Besides being a great blocker and receiver, his ability to get yards after the catch was amazing. I've seen him shake off tacklers and bull his way to the end zone many times in his college career.

He's a *Weapon.* Not a TE or WR or whatever... a Weapon.
He was an uncoverable One-Man-Army in College & I don't see anything differnt so far in the Pros.
The threat he poses on the field is going to open up the passing game for everyone.
Now... if only our O-line can block anyone!

Jakobi Meyers is a solid chain mover but there is a huge difference in athleticism between him and our 3 studs: Adams, Bowers and Tucker. Tucker needs more snaps.

This is why taking a playmaker over a tackle was necessary. You double Adams and Bowers, that leaves meyers in single coverage. I like those odds.
Defenses will start focusing to stopping Bowers and out of nowhere Mayer will go off as well.
Bowers needs to keep improving his blocking.
On separate note, I think Raiders need to see jpj at guard asap.
Peat was replaced by white hair, who replaced white hair.

Bowers will be a problem for opposing defenses! And facts our LG spot is weak right now and I also don’t think Munford is playing great either. Would like to see DJ Glaze get an opportunity at some point this season at RT

Mumford is an issue. He can't block and slow footed. Miller does not seem to be 100%. Raiders OL can't seem to open up the lane and get the running game going. This is going to be a problem.
