@@MarkTDKKnight Yo, Mark! Still wondering if you ever get back to your works on Duke Nukem Total Meltdown and maybe try to rearrange some more tracks. Your tracks literally amost the only thing that made this port great.
@@CapralHarrison do you know how disappointed I was that Gearbox (who depressingly own the DN licence) released the PC version digitally on console's. And not the PlayStation version with this amazing soundtrack
I still have the disc, and me and my brother read it in the instructions or electronic gaming magazine that it can play music as a regular cd but don't play track 2, still have it to this day.
This song really gives the vibe of exploring the world all alone after it’s gone to shit, with just the endoskeletons of buildings and scorched earth remaining. And evil aliens lurking of course 👀
Ah, yes! THE TOXIC DUMP and one of my personal favorites, THE L.A. RUMBLE! "I ain't afraid of no QUAKE!" Little jab at ID software on the development of Quake ;)
I know this was a bit ago but the guitar riff at the beginning, the ever unique scream is sampled a lot in games as well. It's found in Resident Evil 7 Banned Footage and even on one of the planets of Destiny 2. I can recognize it anywhere! x.x
@@nataliakatalia620 You got it... but before it was a Sony pack - we're talking 1996 here. The CD was still called Methods of Mayhem and I used a shit ton of it on the Total Meltdown soundtrack.
+Taro Yamada Search it on google. The creator if I remember correctly is Deeper Thought. Needs the eduke32 port (like every other duke mod). Its interesting, and if you've never played it, i'd watch gameplay.
Incredible track, many memories. It sounds like if Trent Reznor made a song for a Fifth Element/Escape from LA crossover.
Tbh, this song helped shape my taste in music.
wow!
_"I should have known those alien maggots boobytrapped the sub."_
This is probably one of the best electronic tracks of all time. Mark, you hear me?!

I know this song is called Distortion, and while its still applicable... To me it shall always be known as Toxic Dump!
I remember sticking this in my disc player in my car and was like woah i got 4 tracks, this was one of them
I know right. The others were the tracks from Death Row and Abyss. (forgot the 4th)
My tracks i caught on my cd is this one, Chaingun in my hands(raw meat) and chemucals f-ck yer spoon (flood zone/nightmare zone)
13 year old me "I wonder what will happen if I put my Playstation game in the CD player?"
Woooah!

Yes serrie. too bad they did not included all tracks in there
Me too! I think I got 4 tracks that were playable
Looking for this bad boy for god damn ages! ironically finding it at 2 in the morning...
Best track in Total Meltdown by far =D
Matt Merrill Lunar Reactor no?
PBL187 No. Toxic Dump and LA Rumble.

What a game... what a soundtrack. Just awesome
I aint Scared of no quake
why don't they make songs like this for games anymore
"I should've known those alien b******s booby trapped the sub"
This tune is rockin! (Jungle Dick too, theme to Tier Drops and Duke Royale, and of course, Mental Heavy 3, theme to Lunar Reactor!)
I have heard the intro to this song in other things before...
Still the best of Duke Nukem OST ❤️. I've original XA format from PS1 game 😁. Mr Mark Knight i love it 😍.
Creepy one, though one of the best. I taped it 13 years ago =d
Has an old Linkin Park vibe with a bit of Zerg.
Glad I'm not the only one thinking that.
@@kranianus5559 nintendoboy17 I totally agree :) They're actually using the same sound in the background
@@julienderiviere4907 dumb fuck, it's sampled
Powerman 5000
PS1 is the best version all day. This takes a massive dump all over the original ost.
A massive dump of awesomeness
I think the Saturn version of Toxic Dump’s music (Departure) is leagues better than this.
@@ALittleSnowFairySaga I don't think so

Funny fact:
This also plays as the Ambience on Titan in Destiny 2
Destiny Sucks btw
It’s also in resident evil 7’s nightmare mode music

Invocation of Apocalyptic Evil by DragonForce
hell yeah
This Duke Nukem OST that i heard in Resident Evil Retribution. It's just a short note but i'm so sure it's the same note !!
It's the same sample, from the same sample library, yes.
Also this note can be heard in Destiny 2.

Bullet Dam is a remake of this and the original PC version of Stalker (Hollywood Holocaust). Bullet Dam is the theme to World Tour E5M1: High Times
No it's not. Bullet Dam has some of Stalker in it, none of this.
One of the barrels, circuing around in on toxic dump level in endless cycle, disliked this video
I guess DragonForce tributed it on the opening of their very first Album (Valley of the Damned), calling it Invocation of the Apocalyptic Evil
Creepy! I like that... That's why the PS1 version is the greatest!!
yes it does but the music is awesome. It would be amazing if SGTMark would make a Brutal version of Duke Nukem 3D along with this soundtrack
DjClayface That would be so cool!
Download: Duke plus mod + Playstation soundtrack mod. This basically gives you what you're after.
