Elynas, durin, albedo, fakebedo..she kinda seems like a bit of an antagonist by the end of the teyvat journey. i mean...honestly, all of the hexenzirkel feel like theyre toying with fate, dictating what happens at their fancy, so maybe theyre the true antagonists of this story by the end. xD
After we save the Durin of Dragonspine and "bless" him a more humanoid form, along with our friends and wanderer, we might also see wanderer the "Hero" giving Durin a new Name, similar to how we the "Hero" give wanderer a new Name, which could be his Name as a playable character.
Isn't it interesting that things are really beginning to loop back to Mondstadt? Hexenzirkel is becoming a really integral part of the overall game story with their Mondstadt HQ. All this juicey Durin lore, which we haven't really heard about since version 1.2. And all the story ties between Natlan and Mondstadt that will almost certainly get more fleshed out (Vanessa, Venti's ties with Mari Jivari). Idk I feel like it's obvious that as we get closer to the end of the story Mondstadt will be a really integral part of that.
the witches of the hexenzirkel seem to be able to dictate the fate of teyvat as they see fit, EVERYTHING important thats happened through world quests, and even some archon quests, always circle back to one or more members of this group. durin and elynas' imminent revival (both of who are R's creations, along with albedo/fakebedo), their ability to create alternate/pocket dimensions that defy conventional laws, even in teyvat, a land full of magical human's who can wield the very elements themselves. theyre only going to get more prominent and important to this story. it'll be interesting to see if they have a connection to celestia or the HP, or who alice truly IS. (she's as mysterious as monkey d. dragon, and her eventual reveal will be as monumental as the day we see dragon actually fight)
It would make more sense for him to come out of the heart and slightly modify the area of the cave where he is, leaving the bones in the mountain intact the heart could open, stop beating and the smaller version or playable version of him would come out Kinda like Elynas heart

The tears have “impurities” that are Durin’s poisonous blood, which the Traveller was able to purify. They have teased this moment since the beginning… and now I’m wondering if Mondstadt has also foreshadowed anything for the future.
It wouldn’t be too far fetched for dragonspine to have a new look since areas like the morte region in fontaine have had major changes after certain quests. It’s happened in archon quests too with the jade chamber rising quest
I think Durin's resurection will just be recreating of Elynas' resureaction. Where he will partly resurect but returns to death after wards. Durin, himself knows that its better for others if he is dead rather then Alive but still wishing he could meet others in diferent situation. Just like Elynas knows its better if he stays dead then alive. And unlike simulanka Durin, dragonspine didn't really hate his form or blame it for his misfortune or if he did its nowhere said , which makes sense all creation of Rhinedottir love their forms and names (Reason why golden Wolf lord is set to conquer is because Rhinedottir didn't give him name so he is trying to make one for himself ) Part of Durin's horn and scale stay the same after his transformation because when he transforded they were no longer part of his body , the scales and horns that were on him were transformed, so real durin's heart would transform and wouldn't stay in its location
If durin will become playable in the future i do agree that his remains will be intact in dragonspine. The way i think possible for him to become playable is his consciousness will morph into a human body with the help of alchemy and albedo (like some sort of a vessel) Second theory I’ve got is that we will have a quest related in Mondstadt and Dragonspine, and somewhere in that quest we will gather Durin’s remains (and i hope by that time we finally meet alice) with the help of Hexenzirkel we can restore Durin in his new form.
Simulanka not only has tons of pop culture references, but also foreshadowing of genshin lore (Nilou can make living being, Navia acting as Archon especially Rex Lapis, Kirara asking about existentialism, and Wanderer befriend Durin) It needs one whole video to discuss all of it
My theory is that during Natlan (since it's literally called ode to resurrection) maybe towards the end of the main story, Durin's heart turns out to become a womb of sorts and he is "reborn" in human form like how Neuvie was born as a human. Regardless of how it happens id love to see an interaction between Durin Venti and Divalyn

Dvalin is still there… but I’m actually thinking that we will get it as an actual pet for us. The reason being that the traveller can canonically purify Durin (his poisonous blood caused Dvalin tears to have the impurities that the Traveller managed to purify
i think 5.X is WAY too soon for alice to be playable when we havent even seen what she looks like yet, so that rumor should deeeeefinitely be taken with a grain of salt. but ive heard some rumors as well that are just as farfetched so. xD maybe some of them are true. (the one i heard is in an interlude for natlan we go back to dragonspine, which could line up more sensibly now, and would also give us that playable varka that the leakers alluded to in previous years)

It wasn't used for a very long time, and in fact the one time we see it used is on Dvalin's tears, which were corrupted by, you guessed it, Durin's blood. So we know for sure that the Traveler would be able to purify Durin as well. As further evidence of this, Alice denotes in Simulanka that the Traveler's blessing had more bearing than the others. Perhaps in Simulanka as well it was the Traveler who purified Durin.
As tragic as Durin story is my biggest fear and concern is Durin still a creature of the abyss and not compatible with Teyvet his revival also worries me it'll corrupt his brother, Albedo too. Wanderer been asked help Durin while Albedo wants Aether/Lumine stop him if he looses control like his brothers...there's bit of irony here.🤔👀

My crack theory that I'm still refining is that Durin was made with the abyss and the remains of the Electro Sovereign. We actually revitalize a dragon in every nation we visit. Dvalin in Mondstadt, Azhdaha in Liyue, Apep in Sumeru, Neuvillette in Fontaine, and upcoming is probably the primal fire. However, Inazuma had no dragon because the Electro Sovereign was used to make Durin, who is abyssal and has been slowly reviving. This would tie in with why there have been no new electro visions and it would be kind of funny since Scara originally wanted the electro gnosis as a heart..and instead got the electro sovereign as his friend. The end of Teyvat would have all 7 dragons rejuvenated to some extent.
It completely doesn't make any sense. Firstly, the abyss and Sovereigns (which belong to the light realm) are literally complete opposites that kill and destroy each other with just their presence, they are completely opposite elements. Secondly, there is most likely already an electro Sovereign in the Inazuma, but it is sealed and sleeps under the Inazuma, Yae talked about it, she said that something gigantic is sealed and sleeping under the Sakura which may be Electro Sovereign. And this absolutely does not ties in any way with why Electro Vision was not issued for a couple of years during the Vision hunt decree in Inazuma.

However, if it "may be" the sovereign and isn't confirmed, that doesn't refute my hypothesis. As for the visions, we now know that the dragons can give them. Neuvillete did so for Furina. I thought it may be tied to the "authority" that focalors destroyed, but even with it we know the other archons don't give visions. So, it's hypothesized it may come from the dragons. Why would there be no electro? Because the electro sovereign couldn't be reborn. Instead, the corrupted, abyssal, undeadish electro sovereign is close to returning. But if you have extra info, please share so I can refine/adapt my thinking.

Usually the summer events are one big teaser for the next region. So it’s incredibly interesting they chose to focus on durin of all things
