Man, have to say keystone impressed me, being someone who manages various cryptocurrencies, it's incredible to have a single device that seamlessly integrates with all the major wallets
Absolutely brilliant interview with Keystone that fully supports your opinion that their wallet is the best hardware wallet especially for Cardano users. Look forward to your upcoming video on Keystone.
It certainly is a brilliant hardware wallet. Learning a little more about the background of the wallet and how it came about really gives some perspective. It would have been interesting developing and designing a hardware wallet for Bitcoin maximlists.
Thanks for sharing this! As a user I always get nervous that there’s some back door code that will swipe my BTC from my hands. This was good in helping me dispel those notions.
I've been researching the Keystone 3 Pro for a couple of weeks because I've been wanting to upgrade from my crappy Ledger for a while and I decided to purchase it tomorrow, this interview comes in very timey!. Airgap and a large screen are a must have for me. I'll be waiting for your video on the Keystone. Is there any expectation of integrating Yoroi in the future or I'll have to migrate everything I have there to another soft wallet? Thanks!
Yes to Yoroi. I spoke to the team after the interview about the need to integrate Keystone and Yoroi as there is still a large market that use it. They're having a meeting with the right people coming up which means they're at the initial conversation stage to make that happen. The best thing is that they have resources to help in the ecosystem where needed.
Create a new wallet by connecting your Keystone to a soft wallet like Eternl. Send a little bit of ADA to it and stake it. Unstake your existing wallet wait two epochs to pass to get all the rewards from those wallets. Now transfer from your old wallet to the new one in Eternl using the SEND ALL feature in Eternl. Suggest you test the transfer process with a handful of assets to ensure its all correct. Then do a mass send all when you're comfortable.
Hey man! Im looking for a hardwallet. I'm open to learn the use of it. What would u recommend? Im looking at the keystone 3 pro right now. Greetings from🇳🇱
Yes, Cardano has been around for a long time now as a token but the innovation and new tech that comes out of the developer community daily is what is really exciting. That's where all the innovation is and DeFi 2.0.
Yes you can. The keystone wallet is used just to sign transactions the transaction of a software wallet like Eternl, Typhon etc. what every those wallets can do, the keystone will be able to fulfil.
There are several audits over the years of the product as it has evolved from one version to another. I'm manually grabbing them all but here is what I've got so far: github.com/KeystoneHQ/Keystone-developer-hub/blob/main/audit-report/cobo_audit_report_2020_09_en_1_0.pdf Blog post about the latest audit: blog.keyst.one/deep-dive-into-next-gen-hardware-wallet-crashing-keystone3-pro-audit-2729bc551d7b And this is a good one, this is a highly critical wallet scrutiny website that rips into all wallets: walletscrutiny.com/hardware/keystone3.pro/ This review is of version 3 pro (the current version) previous versions didn't pass all the tests. walletscrutiny.com/hardware/cobovaultessential/ Which means they moved in the right direction making everything open. I like the old Keystone Pro with the battery pack etc., but there is one thing that I don't like. If you update this device with Bitcoin-Only Mode, there is no return to the Multi-Currency Mode! There isn't even a complete software wipe feature to delete the BTC-Only software!
Hey sir, we made the bitcoin-only mode specifically for bitcoin-only users, did you upgrade to the firmware and cannot go back? Please try to contact our CS team for further help, thank you!

This product is poorly made. The company tries to do everything to avoid giving a refund. If you order it and aren't happy with it, they make you pay international shipping to return tit. Buyer beware.
upon setup with keystone. first use it needs you to "handshake" QR with keystone servers to verify hardware. Now your IP and identity is tagged to your device. Dont do it folks. these wallet companies collect crazy data...... so WRONG.

Yes I agree. It's been a fantastic device thus far
@@nicpieces agree. But. Made in China. 🇨🇳 CCP access to keys?
This was brilliant. So if I understand it correctly, you effectively get three hardware wallets in one. Great interview thanks Pete.
Yes. Correct
ADA + Ergo might win me! Well done
I think so too.
I can listen to Lixin all day. About to purchase mine also. Thanks for this video
Any time!
Great product and interview, thanks guys 👍
It's a fantastic product. I have several hardware products at the moment and its my fav. Most value for money for sure.

My favorite wallet ❤Great content as usual 👌
Glad you enjoy it!
I like it. Holds 3 separate seed phrases, nice.

I have a keystone 3 pro, im very satisfied ❤.
Nice to hear
Best HW by faaaaar!
Replaced my ledger nano x and will never look back!
Yeh, I think its going to do well this year as more and more people start looking for alternatives out there.
Sounds awesome. Kinda lost the trust with Ledger. So Im looking forward to your deep dive in keystone.
Coming soon!
Good job Pete need to get me one of these
Yeh sure thing mate
Thanks for this video !
No worries!

At the moment, Keystone is my top option. Especially if you want to participate in DeFi.
3 Wallets on one device is very nice. Where is the finger print data stored? I presume it is only locally stored on each device?
I've only used the finger print scanner for one wallet. I assume it would be stored in one of the secure elements.
Lace integration 👌
Yes, much needex
Good episode
Thanks
can you do another video of the Tokeo wallet since it has come out.
Yeh sure ill add to the list
Interesting, he mentions Ada is not old... seems to like it. Glad he sees it. I just have a lot of questions really.

@@LearnCardano I have been Ada holder for 4 years.
How many different finger prints can be used?
When I set mine up, it was just one finger.... or toe.
If my memory is correct you can set up at least 3 fingerprint to unlock your device and sign txs:)
can you stake coins on Keystone, if so which ones?
Yes you can. The keystone wallet is used just to sign transactions the transaction of a software wallet like Eternl, Typhon etc. what every those wallets can do, the keystone will be able to fulfil.
