How many months in advance do you recommend to study and do well on the AP Euro exam?

1. Know the basic format about mcq and how you need to approach them 2. Memorize the rubric for the essays 3. Start timing your leq, dbq, saq that u get every chapter 4. Take practice tests and read the book AP euro is also my first ap class but this is what plan im creating to study for the ap exam
I'm a freshmen and having Ap Euro History is so exhausting and little complex because of some documents that uses old english speaking words such as religious texts. So I would use context clues and understanding important vocabulary such as renaissance and humanist.
@@megzcreates what do you think was the best method that helped u with multiple choice questions and overall just retaining and understanding the information ? there’s just so much content and it’s so hard for me since it’s like i have to focus on what everyone in the world was doing. i don’t even know where to start in terms of studying and stuff lol
I’m considering taking this class for my sophomore year of high school, my school didn’t give us the option to take a history class freshman year so should I still take it? Or would it be to difficult 🕵️♀️😶
you def should! i think theres a transition period at the start where you need to get used to everything, but once u get the hang of the readings u should be good!

sorry for the late comment!! but personally practice exams are the best progress checks that are close to the collegeboard standard, otherwise i would see if you have access to albertio (if its free at ur school) or even looking up learning resources from teachers!
Yuu- Chan do you have an AP curriculum at your school? if so, i would reach out to a guidance counselor and they should be able to add you to an ap classroom that is exam only. if your school doesnt have an ap curriculum i would recommend reaching out to a coordinator of the closest school (you can find this on the ap course ledger) and register through there! you would have to test through that school bc only accredited places are allowed to administer the exam.

@@courtney3849 ah i understand! ap euro actually wasn't available at my school even though we had an ap curriculum as well so what the school had to do was order the exam, but i had to take it at the county office (no idea why, but ymmv). i will say though that sometimes guidance counselors aren't aware that self studying is a thing either (mine wasnt lol) so keep pushing and if worse comes to worse reach out to collegeboard yourself. if you've never taken an ap, i would probably cap it at 1-2 self study classes since the curriculum takes a bit of adjustment. but also consider how much time you have + your other school commitments as well! some easy aps i'd recommend to self study are human geo, enviromental science, psych and econ. id probably stray away from science/math if you don't consider that your strong suit. if you have any specific questions about those courses though ive taken all so feel free to ask!

I don't like the websites since they generally charge a lot of money and if your daughter can hold herself responsible I would definitely just self study and run her own pacing/timing, especially if she has other classes and extracurriculars. The prep book should be all she needs!

I am currently a freshman and I plan to take painting/drawing, AP Chemistry, AP Spanish 4, honors Precalc, honors English, and possibly AP European, and possibly also honors medical-core after school. I’m afraid it is too much so if you were in this situation, would you take regular English and/or regular history?
It all depends the time you are willing to give into those things its going to be hard no matter what but it all comes to if you are willing to do the effort and then it gets easier from then

Hey! Do you recommend watching the videos on the AP classroom on the college board website and taking notes or is using the prep book better?

i would say its pretty easy as long as you keep up with the reading but thats just my opinion :)

Do teachers prepare you to the exam or is it just you by yourself?
If you're taking the class, they should help prepare you--that's their job! But if you're self-studying, you're probably on your own :P
