Here is a cheat code...u have to put in the work on recruits, but to get that interest bar to go past the schools in front of u, change the position of your current players. Ex. If u recruiting a SF change all your SF's on your roster to the SG position rite when the signing period starts. Get the recruit, then change em back 😅😅😅
When creating a recruit… 1. Never create a Center or PF cuz there’s a glitch that automatically turns standing dunk to 0 and can’t be fixed 2. Avoid creating recruits in U.S., Mexico & Canada.. Too close in proximity to competing schools 3. Create a PG, SG or SF.. Change their position to center.. (Lack of size, rebounding & blocking will hurt their positional ranking) Once they’re signed, change them back to their intended position ✅😂😂
This seems like the 2k equivalent NCAA College Football create-a-recurit, where you make a punter with 0 kicking power and accuracy, but will 99 speed, catch and acceleration. Since he sucks at kicking no one will recruit him, then you recruit him easily and change his position to WR or RB.😄😆
@@TheCyberAthleteHaha Wow ! 😂 I never had to do that on NCAA cuz the recruiting’s a lot more user friendly.. Never even thought of that ! But yeah, recruiting on College Hoops is Ruthless.. Your coaches Charisma, Scouting and Success has like ZERO factor on the majority of US Recruits. So we gotta rig it in our favor lol
@ilahyahawadah444 a patch is exactly that - a downloadable update to address bugs identified after release. IDK exactly how many patches came out for this game, but can confirm that applying the most recent one (which, apparently, is still available) fixes the 0 standing dunk for generated recruits. It also "fixes" progression so that you don't have so many players at/above 90 OVR after a few years into Legacy. Couldn't tell you what else was patched but those were the two biggest. And yes, to your point, the console would need to be connected to the internet to have the patches applied.
This is all well and good but can someone please make a tutorial on how to play the game itself. I dont get how you are supposed to ever score a bucket in this game. It just feels random
Spam "B" (circle on PS) when driving past a defender. Works much better when the player's dribble rating is 80 or above. For guards/SFs on your team who aren't there yet, focus on that during the weekly drills.
I recorded on Xbox 360 using an ElGato Capture Card and OBS. There’s a ton of tutorials online that can explain it better than my dumbass but those are the two main things I used
yes max of 2 inches tho. i’ve had a player grow from 7’2 to 7’4 that’s the highest i’ve seen and i’ve been playing this game seriously for abt 6 years now

In 2k8 Western Illinois is the best team to start a legacy with as they have the most Seniors, so you can recruit the most players in year 2.
College Hoops 2K6 is my favorite in the series! I own them all but 2K6 is the ONE for me. Dope video btw.

Wasn't the standing dunk glitch fixed with a patch? I know that on x360 it was fixed for generated PF/C recruits

They can definitely grow more than 2 inches. I 6’1 freshmen sg end up 6’5 before I landed him at my school his senior year.
