I thought I was going to be watching a Lets Play of LGR and PushingUpRoses of the Oregon Trail. I got really confused when I saw a station wagon and zombies and reread the title. A survival game with zombies in retro graphics that parodies the Oregon trail? Even better.
If that isn't the best Duke Nukem impression, I don't know what is! XD I especially love the map mishap at 30:10 and the mutiny joke at 1:21:00 in. Very nice playthrough here! Glad y'all made it to the end! It's definitely not a feat anyone can do... rest in peace, Anyone.

1:08:18 so if anyone is interested the reason why fallout uses bottle caps is because in the wasteland water was an extremely valuable commodity to the point where it became the defacto currency for a while. However merchants growing tired of lugging litres and litres of water around began using bottlecaps which could later be redeemed for water (essentially it was a gold standard currency system but with water instead of useless metal) And then later as water became more avaliable bottlecaps stoped being exchanged for water and became a fiat currency.

The coolest part of this game is how you get so attached to the little pixels on the screen that make up your party. Things like the part where you shoot up in the sky and decide you can't put one of your members down is such a nice touch and does so much to immerse yourself in the game.
I'm with you on that. I'm not completely sure I'd enjoy 2 hours of this by myself, by playing with another person proved to be fun. We also streamed it on twitch, and having the audience there also added entertainment and hilarity.
LGR and PUR’s commentary reminds me of when my brother and friends would pretend we were the saints npcs in saints row 1, so the person playing would feel the need to protect the companions and it’d be hilarious when we died
It's nine years later, maybe there will be a 10th anniversary reunion game of 'Organ Trail'? lol. Can't believe my two fav RUclipsrs got together in the long-long ago do this type of collab; it's pretty awesome tbh.
Pro Tips: Rest for Heals. Get lots of Ammo. Scavenge for extra food and sell it. Trade for goods not for sale. Rest to Wait till Zombie Levels desirable for scavenge and travel.

Didnt know lazerfrog, but after that, went n watched a pile of his vids. "Oh, broken bones, zombies everywhere. But LGR, yeah, hes doin his things, playing old games, ill be OK, cos LGR, yeah, hes a dude." Excellent reccomend, n way to much entertainment for watching other people playing olde games. Also.. Twix is the superior candybar.
