    I think it is always great to first the result and then a little breakdown before the tutorial. Great stuff.

    Would love to see a HUD design tutorial! Your tutorials are very easy to follow and you explain the why of what you are doing so well. It's super helpful in understanding your process.

    Hi, I'm a begginer so this question maybe a little stupid. On 6:43 can I add a transform node between vdbpolygons1 anf scatter1 (instead of adding vdbpolygons 2 and vdbreshapesdf1)?

    • @RonaldFong
      @RonaldFong  2 года назад

      no question too silly, let me have a closer look at your question and what it's referring to. :)

    • @RonaldFong
      @RonaldFong  2 года назад +1

      Ah, I understand your question now. Yes, you can avoid the use of VDB node entirely to achieve the inner core of a capsule; a transform node works just fine.
      The benefit of this VDB technique will be more apparent on geometry with more complex forms, where a simple scale may not result in an usable inner core :)
      Thanks for the qn! I believe other watching may be wondering why the solution I used; it's admittedly over-engineered for a capsule. 😂

    Why it's not working when I copy points to pop dop particles?

    • @RonaldFong
      @RonaldFong  Год назад

      Hmm, I can't be sure without looking at your file. you could try to see if the inputs are correctly wired, there are two inputs for the Copy To Points node, and it's easy to mix them up. :)

      @@RonaldFong Thanks! It can only copy spheres to these particles generated at the first frame. Just don't know why. Sorry about the trouble

      hey Abhiram, got it! Thanks for the affirmation, I'm actually running a futuristic HUD course internally @masonrystudios and I think I'll distill the syllabus to a RUclips friendly course outline after I'm done with Houdini Houdono.
      Thanks for sharing, and we'll see if there are others who are interested so we can spread the techniques to more people :)
