Hi! I’m an old(er) former equestrian and love watching your videos. Hoping you can share more of the details of when you show… example: the different hunter classes-handy versus derbies… what are the differences and what are you being judged on, why is Chino an amazing hunter while Apple is an amazing in the equestrian classes. I know many of your followers know this information but I haven’t ridden in a long time (very long 😂) and some things have changed. I also think your younger riders may enjoy a little education as well. 🤷‍♀️ thank you in advance for considering.

i can answer at least one part of this. chino is a great hunter because of the way he's built and the way he moves, hunter classes are about the horse and how it jumps/moves. apple is a good equitation horse since equitation is all about the riders ability to pilot the horse around and making it look as effortless as possible. chino can and has done the equitation but he has a more hunter style build and way of going.

It had to be at least 8 jumps and there had to be a hand gallop!!

The woman in the ring at the 16 minute mark. What is she checking for putting her finger in the horses ear. And I assume looking for a tack noseband when she ran her hand across his nose. Is that a steward? Are you not allowed to have earplugs?
