Im old so I remember Jimmy Martins release of this tune. (1956)? Victor Jordan on the ole 5, Vernon Derrick on mando. Jimmy on guitar.

Takes me back to the Jimmy Martin instrumental album Big and Country- where they used electric mandolin on this piece. This version is the only emulation of that I've heard since it was first done back in 1965. you can compare them just search "big and country Jimmy Martin" on RUclips.

First heard this tune ages ago by JImmy Martin with Crowe on his "banger" banjo and Vernon Derrick on fiddle (see You Tube video).Patrick Mcaveenie in this version is a likely replacement for Bobby Hicks on fiddle.
This is so awesome to try to play along with all of you men,about 1/4 the way into it my right hand melts down and I cant stop laughing ,sometimes I make it half way through but I cant thank you enough for showing this,I'm having alot of fun up here in northern Minnesota out in the middle of nowhere lol

Cleveland is picky to picky we tried to get him to play with us for a few songs only he would not ,,I don't like that I've been around the best he should be more friendly
