    Great video. I would be grateful if you could kindly share a video of how to attach a barrel tube hinge and lock to and between two glass panels to create a pressed locket. Thank You 🙏🏻

    Hi 🙋‍♀️ just finished watching all your videos and have subscribed. Can you please do a video on the best places to purchase your glass from 🙂

    Hi! Thanks for this video, it's so helpful!! I'm having a lot of trouble with soldering jump rings on right now. I have one question - you said you solder at 410, is that in Fahrenheit or Celsius?

    Thank you for such a helpful video! May I ask what glove you’re using to hold the piece while beading?

    • @sunbearglasscraft8065
      @sunbearglasscraft8065  3 года назад

      Glad it was helpful :)! The gloves are found here:
      www.amazon.com/DEX-FIT-Comfort-Stretch-Lightweight/dp/B07FKLWF3G/ref=sr_1_7?dchild=1&keywords=dex+fit+gloves&qid=1615118277&sr=8-7.
      After you solder in them for a while the flux tends to soak through the rubber coating, so I also like to wear a plastic glove (like those thin food prep gloves) to keep the flux from getting in cuts

    new to stained glass here, wanted some clarity (may have misunderstood) do you copper foil your edges of your oddly shaped combs before applying the solder to the edge? (The ones that you don't attach lead came to)

    Hi Rachel, i was wondering if you also used custom jump rings for heavy stuff ? Will it not bend under the pieces weight ? It seems to be a soft material on the video. Thanks

      A really great question! For small and medium sized pieces I make my own jump rings with 16g wire. For larger pieces, which I admittedly don't make very often, I've used 14g wire and found it to be very sturdy. If there's ever a doubt about jump ring stability, you could even double loop it and use two rings.

    Where can I find those gloves. I'm always afraid I'm gonna drop my work due to it getting so hot on me. Thank you in advance

      I purchased mine on Amazon! If you look up "dex fit gloves" it should come up. They came in a 3 pack and I love them! I ordered the medium and they fit perfectly - my hands are pretty average size for my height (5'9) so hope that helps for the fit :)

      I make my jump rings with pre tinned copper wire! Can be found in rolls at any stained glass supplier

    Can you do a lead cane video?

    • @sunbearglasscraft8065
      @sunbearglasscraft8065  3 года назад +1

      Absolutely! It's the part of stained glass I'm least practiced with, so I'm going to consult with my mentor before posting any videos :) It's added to my video list!

      I second this. I want to get into this hobby but one of the pieces I want to make requires a large round metal frame (lead came?) which looks advanced and I'm following your series to see if this is a hobby that I'm willing to invest in and that is going to keep my interest over time.
