Some people say that Stree 2 is better.. I think both are equally great. In fact, the first Stree was more grounded and focused because they were not trying to build a universe around it. Upon re-watching Stree, I realized it was actually a really great satirical horror comedy.
Original Stree was much better. As Stree 2 went on it became clear that it's a typical cash grab sequel but it's better than most sequels and is easily the best written Hindi movie in the last few years. Still surprised it became such a bit hit though. It might not have Stree's repeat value however.
Actually it's better thing that the second part is better and we are not disappointed this time as many sequels are most of the time disappointing ❤...both of the movies did great in their timeline

This incident is known as "Nale ba" .. this thing actually happened in Karnataka (India) where a witch used to kill person who opens the gate on her voice... And one day a person heard the same thing a told to the witch " Came next day" and after that all the people started writing "Nale ba" means "come tomorrow" in front of their gates ...

Basically Shraddha Kapoor at the end connects the braid... It means that she is a witch who collects braids of Chudail (Achara was talking about) and that gains her more power She pretends to be a ghost hunter but in real she is a witch i suppose. I haven't watched Stree 2 so i am giving this presumption from only watching Stree 1 if it changes in Stree 2 that I m not sure about it.. And in there there are many Easter eggs and then watch munjiya,then stree 2 without watching these 2 movies you can't understand the connection and concept there are many cameo in stree 2 and bhediya.
You mentioned women disappearing IRL. Stree is part-satire, where the in-joke is that they give the same typical warnings to men to avoid getting taken, like don't go out at night, move in a group etc.
So in Stree 2 there's substantial references to the movie Bhediya, I won't spoil. So to just better understand them, I would recommend you guys to watch Bhediya. Just let you know beforehand, the cgi in the next 2 films isn't the best, but still worth a watch. Achara and Michael, your reactions always bring a smile on my face, love you guys, keep it up!
