March of the Black Queen is in my Top 5 Fave Queen songs and every Queen fan knows how HUGE it is to decide on only 5 of all Queen songs to make that list 😂 Freddie wrote it when he was just a kid before Queen was formed. The guys all loved playing it and John Deacon said they spent ages rehearsing it and it was not easy. It’s full of intricate harmonies… Brian said Freddie’s compositions were complex LOL an understatement to say the least ! Like Bohemian Rhapsody everyone has a different opinion about the meaning of the song but it all comes down to Freddie’s childhood. Thanks for your reaction
I’m with ya my friend!! 1) Somebody To Love 2) March of the Black Queen 3) Brighton Rock (give Bri some love) 4) My Fairy King 5) Play The Game 6) Tie Your Mother Down 7) Spread Your Wings 8) White Queen ..
Such colorful lyrics. You can tell this is a Freddie fantasy and the other band members just lifted those delicious lyrics into the stratosphere. Complex and brilliant. Thanks. Listen to it a few more times. The more I did the more I heard and liked in this one. ❤
Classic Queen, one of my favorites 🥰 This song did not get any airplay in the U.S. Most of their greatest songs are unheard by a lot of people because they weren't hits. Love their early stuff like Queen II, phenomenal album.
Thanks so much Lil mann, never get tired of such greatness... Another masterpiece in the same vein as BoRhap and Black Queen is "Innuendo"... an award-winning video and a nice "surprise" guest musician in the middle of it... all makes for musical magic... speaking of magic, have you done the two videos with children... "Invisible Man"" and "The Miracle", they are also kinda near-and-dear to my heart... just love your reactions, thanks again and keep 'um comin'... blessings.
This is one of my favorite Freddie songs, it is so complex as well as a roller coaster ride from start to finish. Yes, there are elements and suggestions in this song that later appear in Bohemian Rhapsody and again in Innuendo, a great trilogy of songs that give us a view into the depth of creativity, songwriting and musicianship that Freddie Mercury possessed. This song was never a big hit and it couldn't be done on stage because it was multi-tracked to the point of wearing through the tape. Bear in mind, it was always just the four of them and only 3 of them were singers so when you hear those voices that sound like choirs, that is just them laying down that portion time after time after time to get that vocal thickness. Imagine how much concentration it would take to get the timing of something like that right with each overlay recording.
I love this song, it's so surreal, it puts me in mind of some of Lewis Carroll's poems... I keep forgetting my headphones. I wish I could remember where I put them! I think you'll find that most of the backing vocals are by Roger Taylor. I definitely recognised his voice several times...
Do Brighton Rock. It’s the song that has the signature Brian May guitar solo that he plays in every live show with his unique delay effect. And Freddie’s vocals are wild.
Queen - In The Lap Of The Gods - Hammersmith Odeon, London - 1975/12/24. This is the revised version. It is my favorite version of the song but to each their own. I think you will enjoy. Thank you for your reactions!
you should TEO TORRIATTE .... it is also a lyric video which is helpful as two verses they sing in JAPANESE. in that song when Freddie sings "be not gone" its hauntingly beautiful. MASTERFUL.
I'm so excited that you reacted to this song, thank you! Many of the Queen songs, like this one, are on the list of Queens hidden gems and weren't played on the radio much at all compared to others. Queen is like a Candy Shop of the finest candies in the world. A person can choose from a wide range of totally unique and widely different styles of songs from a band that was bursting with raw talent. Oh yeah, no band worked magic in the studio with panning vocals and instruments like Queen did. How about a fun, soulful song with only Freddie and John Deacon? " Cool Cat " another hidden gem. 🫶🌈👑💙
Yes, this was a phenomenal song, complex musically and complex lyrically. I can’t think of any other man that could possibly produce a song like this. Thank you thank you
I’m loving your Queen reactions, I checked out your playlist and saw fat bottom girls, the music video, your mind will be blown if you do the Live version, most live Queen will always blow anything else out of the water. Anyway thankyou and enjoy.RIP Freddie… legend… so loved 🥰
March of the Black Queen was never a single so is just an album track, if any Queen song is just an album track. So many epics that were never hits and so many hidden gems. Love this band so much
Also think about doing an early concert 🎵, live at the rainbow 74. You can break it up, or work it out so it doesn’t get blocked. Queen don’t usually block. The early concerts has a lot of these songs like March of the black queen.. in a medaly , you’ll really dig it. Early Queen just shows you they were great from the start, 4 young kids just doing their thing but doing it so well. A blessing is the only way I can think about them. Look forward to your reactions. Thanks again 🫶🏻
Hey found the who did it better, I have to point out that Queen did it first about 30 years before Metallica & I think that’s why Metallica sounded fuller & heavier however Freddie’s voice fills in any short comings, he was a one in a lifetime talent and I’m so glad it’s my lifetime. Really loving your reactions, your really good and fun to watch so Thankyou 🫶🏻🤟
In my top 3 Queen songs!! Freddie’s masterpiece and yes, I prefer this song to Bohemian Rhapsody!! I know, I know. 🤷♀️ Freddie’s piano 🎹 and Brian’s guitar work complete the Black Queen’s March! 🖤 “Every fingernail and toe .. black on, black on”. ✋🦶⚫️ Please do BRIGHTON ROCK (guitar solo Wow). The song was featured in “Baby Driver”.
Thanks, mann! One of Queen's most innovative songs... well before Bohemian Rhapsody... (not a particular "hit") just when you think it's over.. it's NOT...(headphones are KEY - note Roger's incredible high notes & Brian's guitar... ) appreciate your reaction.... !
You really need to listen to QUEENS FIRST ALBUM WHICH HAS A LOT OF GEMS ❤🎉 THEN ALBUM 2 AN 3 IS AWSOME ALSO REALLY THERE ARE NO BAD SONGS FROM QUEEN 👑🥇🎸 9:41
The Queen 2 album is one of the most complicated compositions I've ever heard, and the lyrics are incredible.
My favorite of theirs and I've been a Queen fan for 50 years!

They mixed their songs in such an original way. This is their second album and they are all early to mid twenties.... astounding xx

The black queen is Freddie’s alter ego. It’s his coming out song. Bohemian is him coming out to his mother.

Oh No! You gotta find those headphones, I can't listen to music without them. 😅👑🫶

You will notice Freddie’s voice changes through 84-86 because the smoking and drinking 👍
