Very nice, thanks. You may have covered this in another video, but there are also mobile apps you can use to control/sync with your GoTo motorized mount. I think SkySafari does that - I'm not sure about Stellarium Mobile. Stay safe
Hi James, thanks for watching. If you use both pins for direction and distance photopills will show you the field of view for any particular camera/lens combination.
@@AstroForumSpace well, I think the Android and IOS layout is different. Thus, some of the stuff you are doing isn't even on the IOS version. For example, in your video once you have everything line up, you go to choose the camera (etc) for what you want to use and that menu just below the top of the screen is NOT there on IOS. With that being said, your video is mid 2020, and I'm trying to follow along in the Fall of 2021 (possible different versions? Or Android and IOS versions aren't quite the same).
@@NOWitsOKto thanks for the feedback, yes, this video is one year old do they've probably updated the interface. That being said, one would hope that updates provide a better user experience 😉. I've only used it for comet neowise last year. I'll check the current version on Android. Are there any specific issues you're dealing with?
@@AstroForumSpace Well, let's just say the current IOS experience isn't nice. The Field isn't there at all (could be something isn't setup correctly. I'm using a Sony A7III mirrorless and don't see the FOV arc at all). I've been using TPE (The Photographer's Ephemeris, which has been around since 2009) for my photography setup for years and I will admit it doesn't have all the functions of Photopills, but with that said if one can not get Photopills to work properly it may not be of help at all. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking Photopills, except that I can't get it to run properly on IOS. (It's probably OHS - Operator Headspace).
Hello Wido 🖖 Some useful tips you have given there. Thanks 😊
Stay safe 💫🌟🔭
Thanks, you too!
Any chance you can make an update video? This is great but obviously the app interface has changed.

Thanks and yes, you can find other videos on my channel covering how to connect your mount to stellarium (laptop version). Clear skies

Move to a sunny country? LOL.
i live next to you in den haag
Nice, do you have a telescope?
@@AstroForumSpace yes i have a newtonian
Great video however I am unclear how you had your camera data on the pin screen of PhotoPills.

Stellarium is 11 euros and i think you can change the language of the app, by putting your phone on the English language
It’s will have disappeared in the northern hemisphere in the coming days
From my location it will be visible until the second week of August, after which it will appear in the southern hemisphere.
AstroForum yes I’d forgotten your on the Netherlands ? I’m about 54 degrees N
@@HogarthsAstrophotography yes, I'm at 52° so still about two weeks left :-).
Photopills is not very user-friendly in my opinion.
The menu is indeed a bit puzzling, but I like the AR view. Clear skies!
