Getting some Grand Tour vibes from this DLC! This is the PBR Jeremy used in Seamen, and the Longfin looks very similar to Hammond's Scarab. The only one that's missing is James's vintage boat
So, backstory of this boat, it’s based of the PBR (patrol boat, river), the boat that we primarily used in the rivers of the Vietnam war. Yes he goes over it but the fun fact here is the idea to add this bot actually came from a rockstar staff member seeing it in the episode of the grand tour called “seamen”. Jermey Clarkson talks about the boat in depth and I recommend anyone who’s interested in this boat to go check it out. Season 4 episode 1
I was excited for this vehicle since it reminds me of a mission from Call of Duty: Black Ops 1 where you're gunning down Viet Cong in a gunboat while the Rolling Stones is playing in the background. Unfortunately while doing the prep mission for this vehicle, I was incredibly disappointed with this boat's performance.
@@lamowkachow4597 You can store the stromberg in the Kosatka, but you cannot store both the stromberg and the toreador. Just drive your stromberg under the Kosatka and enter it and it will be stored in your moon pool
I bought it just too have it, but honestly, just a waste of money. In my opinion, Rockstar needs too come out with a naval based DLC. Some destroyer ships with cruise missiles, automatic anti aircraft systems, controllable explosive gun turrets etc, but most importantly, somewhere to put your boats. Plenty of buildings in the south eastern/docks are of the map that can have an interior made, which would essentially serve as a garage for boats, but also have a workshop where you could customize your boats.
This thing costs 1 million more then the unmodifyed submarine. Keep in mind that the unmodded sub already comes with torpedos, periscope aimed missles, max armor and speed, the heist setup screen stuff and all the interior. The only thing you realy actualy need in addition to the sub is the sea sparrow (because otherwise you may have to swim back to shore). Who at rockstar thought that this boat would be a gold idea?
I feel like this update could possibly be a warm up to what's next because this is the first time they added sea vehicles to the game and if it is a warm up then possibly next dlc could have boat customization; But it's Rockstar so we never know.
It's expensive sure, but since it's a lot easier to make money in game than it used to be, I believe, the price isn't the biggest issue I think. There are many cars that are over a million in cash, yet there are older, better looking and performing vehicles, that are much cheaper.
If the boat was customizable then maybe I'd consider buying it. Too bad, because I really like its appearance. I can imagine myself speeding through a river on Cayo Perico while Fortunate Son plays in the background.

@@saviorbob this dlc was sorta a naval update I mean u can drive the sub and collect crates to earn money each day and it also came with a new submarine inside the submarine
@@goop9761 I mean the yacht also has it's own boat and helicopter and adds an activity on the water, but I would call its addition a naval update. While the sub will be used a bit for the most part 99% of naval craft are still fairly useless and you can't even change the paint job. Having a dock house with cargo like the hanger with cargo mostly found underwater would give a real use to boats as most of the things that outclass them can't land on the water.
I don't think buying any of the new boats is worth it other than of course the submarine. Since you cannot access the island in free roam they did not give us a reason to be running around in the water.
It would be good if rockstar made a Boatshed like on the movie Blade trinity where you can store your Kostka and Patrol boat and customise them (mostly the petrol boat)
I don't think we have our own docks in the game which is why its a peguses boat. I just really wish they'd get rid of pegusus already and just replace it with a personal dock already.
Rockstar gsmes should add a type of workshop where u can moddify them fully and stuff like a workshop that floats on the water like a giant raft that u can drive into and modify ur boats with

I’m pretty sure that maybe you can customize this boat in the new submarine who knows but it does kinda seem like rockstar might have done that because of the new car port in the submarine maybe it’s like an avenger with a garage inside to upgrade it
I'm happy GTA was updated with new stuff, but i think it's very underwhelming and a huge missed opportunity with the island not bring freeroam. As far as i know vehicles are going to be drip fed so will see what else is released. Solo heist and a Sub is best thing i think, but the Alkonost is a reskin Volatol, Annihilator is a reskin Akula, the Toreador is a reskin Stromberg BUT i do like this one out of them as it is has different features to it. Just my opinion anyway. I just was hoping for something a bit different and a freeroam island i guess. Either way i'll still happily play the solo heist.
Id buy it for like 25% cheaper and allowed customization (especially of the weapons; imagine if you could add countermeasures and make the front guns dual grenade launchers, RPGs, mini guns....)
