      Thank you! I wish I could use viola more but typical orchestral viola sections are quite small. The viola melody at 35:16 is my favorite ❤️

    Incredible piece, love the harmonic evolution in each movement. Especially the second movement, wow - all those chromatic melodies that emerge and get passed around different instruments, overlaid over the piano chords. The cross-instrument phrasing marks are so cute, not sure how that would look in their parts, but it's a cool concept. Also really love the cadenzas in the outer movements!

    Really well structured and that is very difficult for something this big so really my congratulation❤ its an impressive work.
    I would though love (and take it as a criticism but more of a personal struggle i am experiencing with my music too) to see more modern aspect.
    I am just know you can really do great stuff you just need a step further. Keep up the hard work❤ , and as a composer myself in love with late romantisim and impressionism, i can completely understand.

      Actually, the original drafts of the third movement had a LOT of straight up atonal moments. There was also extended techniques and very complicated harmonies. I removed all of that because it was too advanced compared to the first movements. The result is very watered down music that I think is more romantic era than contemporary.

    Me encanta que hayan compositores contemporáneos,que honran y crean musica,esa que está plena y exhuberante de melodía,y armonías agradables al oído,y rinden culto al puro arte de las sonoridades excelsas,cuando hay tanto masacrador de chirridos,y sonidos cacofónicos que se creen genios...

    J'aime beaucoup les allusions que vous faîtes à des œuvres d'autres compositeurs tout en vous les appropriant. Il faut maintenant qu'un pianiste nous le joue avec orchestre ! Ce ne sera pas du gâteau pour lui, ce n'est pas de la fausse virtuosité comme on en voit parfois, c'est ici très difficile, tant techniquement qye musicalement. Bravo 🎉

    More Neo-romantic mush. When will people like you get out of your 1903 bubble, and realize that no one with any degree of respect or pedigree writes music like this? The effort you put in to this piece is commendable, and there was some moments that were genuinely beautiful. However, I hope that after this piece, you can escape from your nostalgic fantasies, and try writing something that has anything unique to say texturally and emotionally. You have potential, now do something about it!

    • @majrn1000
      @majrn1000  4 месяца назад

      To be honest I think this piece is much more basic than what I usually make (or even listen to). Even so, I don't write music for attention or "respect and pedigree." I don't care for modernity or uniqueness if I like what I'm putting out. I love Penderecki and Xenakis as much as Rachmaninoff and Feinberg. There's enough progressive composers out there, I will make music I want to make. I will have to be commissioned to make music of your satisfaction and not mine. I do appreciate your comment.
